Hamas is the natural reaction of what happens when you fuck with people like Israel has. If you start to acknowledge the will of the Palestinians and of the Arab world in general and allow national governments to stabilize, groups like Hamas will disappear because their support is conditional upon them being the most legitimate source of power in their area. Israel has one of the most advanced and well trained conventional militaries in the world, as well as a sizeable nuclear arsenal.
