ahhhh.....i went to this place while i was in edinburgh, and met this aussie guy! i didn't have much of a budget, and zero knowledge of whisky, and he recommended i buy a royal lochnagar (which i did) - any thoughts on that one ralfy?
Ralfy looking at the rum, it would be nice to see the odd rum review in the mix. Ive been drinking rum lately, givng my malts the break they deserve. Thanks again malt mate.
So far I had my best time with Glenfiddich 12. I am slowing going through the varieties of whisky - I have now 3 sweet speysiders (Aberlour 10, Glenfiddich 12 and Cardhu 12), , sherry oak Macallan 12, Highland Park 12, Talisker 10 and Johnie black label (best part of it is the nose). As you can see it is mostly on the sweeter side of whisky range
.... best prices are 'sometimes' to be found at the supermarkets, including the Supermarkets own label whiskies, but best options, variety and advice are without doubt to be found at the specialist retailer.

... yes Edinburgh is the Venice of the North !! ... and Lochnagar is a decent Highland Malt not as well known as many others but just as juicy.
.... hope you enjoy it.

You swept right past the blended whiskies AND the excellent minis selection at RMW! Ouch.
