Les Chats Sauvages with Dick Rivers (April 1961-October 1962) were one of the big french rock band of the early 60s. Their sound was fabulous and has not lost any of its power today. Dick's voice was powerful to sing R'n'R and deeply romantic for slows such as "c'est pas serieux "and "Lady". Dick left the band and went solo. He is still famous and recording today. A true french pioneer of Rock'n'Roll

Mon premier disque....j'étais un Fan comme tant d'autres petits français de l'époque !!!!!! ce qui m'éclate c'est qu' à l'époque ils faisaient peur à beaucoup de monde !!!!! on peut se demander pourquoi ??? lol

Dick Rivers (les Chats sauvages) also sings a French version or Ray Charle's "What did I say" (Est-ce qu tu le sais), with superb effect. He also did a French "Let's twist again" (Viens danser le twist) which appeared for a few days on youtube before beging removed for "violatiion blablabla".

This French band was very famous in the 60's in France. Alternative French band is "Les Chaussettes Noires". Both of them played US songs translated in french...

You're wrong! The original title is "Warpaint", recorded by the Brooks Brothers in 1961, UK. Les Vautours also recorded a very nice cover in 1961; they're from France.
