I prefer that they didnt make the Co-op fun, otherwise everyone would have this beast gun! plus, it makes unlocking weapons more gratifying. I do agree that the bots knifing is redicoulus
It sucks that Dice fucked up the infared. I used to love it too. This gun is awesome, but slow. Its my main gun, but when I get pissed I always switch back to the m416.

its as easy as this, all the weapons that uses the same size of rounds have the same sound to them, alot of sub machine guns have pistol sounds just alot faster so no they dident use the same sound, thats not how DICE works, its a real recorded sound but sounds the same due to the rounds it fires

When you were talking about the G3A3 sounding like the M40 the G3 is a 7.62mm battle rifle so because it is more powerful it probobly does have a deeper sound.
Personally I would have kept the .308 caliber weapons at a higher damage. They fire an uberly powerful round compared to the 5.56/223 weapons. You don't often hear about a man taking a round or 2 of .308 in the chest in living (realistically speaking of course). That and the H&K roller lock tends to recoil more than other comparable guns; so technically that gun should kick more.

No, thats dice's fail. While they both fire the exact same round the g3 is clip fed and the m60 is belt fed. Furthermore they have different firing rates, gas management systems and barrel lengths. I'm still mad that they nerfed it so hard.

But I do think the sound from the G3 sounded more realistic in BC2 than in BF3. I have actually fired a G3 in real life (well the AG3 which is a slighted Norwegian modded G3)
@LevelCapGaming You said the sound is to deep, right? Look at the year where this Gun was introduced. 1959. It's the next generation Stg/MP 44 so it's sounds such mechanically.
the m416 (hk 416) is the standard weapon in the norwegian army, and the g3a3/ag3 was the standard weapon for the army, and is for the Homegard (heimevernet) the g3a3 actually saunds alot like what it does in the ame.. :D
G3 is arguably more powerful than the SCAR(I personally think they are both balanced due to ROF and mag size limitations).
From 0-8 meters, SCAR and G3 do 34 damage per shot. From 9-75m G3 goes gradually down and stops at 20 damage per shot. While scar goes down to 17 damage per shot, and from 9-60m(15m shorter). G3 also has an overall lower recoil and higher bullet velocity.
Only real advantage of the SCAR is a faster ROF, 600 instead of the G3's 550.
@kang174 sadly, all of these guns have been nerfed so they only do 30 damage. Despite never even using them, I don't understand why they just severely limited the 3-shot capability instead.......
The G3 and the M60 fire the same round out of the same length barrel at the exact same rate of fire. True the actions, are very different, but other factors really do cause for an extremely similar "bang".

The G3 is not an assault rifle technically speaking, it's a battle rifle, it fires the same 7.62x51mm round as the M60, however the "firing note" of a weapon is partly dependent on the round being fired, but also on the noise of the guns action, and the exploding gas escaping out of the firearm, in theory much like the noise of an engine's exhaust system serving as one of the characterizing traits of it's acoustic signature. I only understand 40% of what I just typed.
Your talking about farming Co-op and using tricks like intentionally failing parts of missions, and I just finished watching your video about stat padding.

@exiquio Better using a headset, it is funny, but not as the single player campain, but the thing is that you need to do it if you want the KH 2002, and that gun is badass with the 3 rounds burst, I have unlocked 3 weapons yet, but it becomes boring when you finish the missions :) I enjoy playing with my new weapons in the multy tough

@exiquio yeah, when I got the game the first things I tried was the SP and the MP, I just didn't know that to unlock those 7 guns you had to play CO-OP, but I think It's fine, I've already done all the missions but I've only unlocked the mp 412, the mp7 and the kh 2002, but It's a long way to get all the guns :(
SCAR-H has high damage because it fires a full-size rifle round. It should be subject to higher damage than the rest of the carbines offered to the Engineer class. Although, I will admit its damage is a bit out of control. A re-balancing should be in the cards.
The SCAR has 36% more damage than any of the other engineer weapons and is comparable to the G3A3. Check out my Platoon and you can download the entire spec sheet I have posted there. My in-game name is PumpJacka.
It sounds like that due to the 550 RPM fire rate and 30 damage at 10m - 20 damage at 50m

They sound the same because they fire the same 7.62 x 51mm NATO cartridge and they have a similar barrel length (~5in difference).

No, thats dice's fail. While they both fire the exact same round the g3 is clip fed and the m60 is belt fed. Furthermore they have different firing rates, gas management systems and barrel lengths. I'm still mad that they nerfed it so hard.

G3 the same caliber as the M60 which is: 7.62x51mm :)
But I do think the sound from the G3 sounded more realistic in BC2 than in BF3. I have actually fired a G3 in real life (well the AG3 which is a slighted Norwegian modded G3)

@LevelCapGaming You said the sound is to deep, right? Look at the year where this Gun was introduced. 1959. It's the next generation Stg/MP 44 so it's sounds such mechanically.

I had the G3A3 in the German Army, it is an über-gun. It´s so powerful. Much better than the G36.

the m416 (hk 416) is the standard weapon in the norwegian army, and the g3a3/ag3 was the standard weapon for the army, and is for the Homegard (heimevernet) the g3a3 actually saunds alot like what it does in the ame.. :D

G3 is arguably more powerful than the SCAR(I personally think they are both balanced due to ROF and mag size limitations).
From 0-8 meters, SCAR and G3 do 34 damage per shot. From 9-75m G3 goes gradually down and stops at 20 damage per shot. While scar goes down to 17 damage per shot, and from 9-60m(15m shorter). G3 also has an overall lower recoil and higher bullet velocity.
Only real advantage of the SCAR is a faster ROF, 600 instead of the G3's 550.
All this is post-patch data(I'm a nerd).

@kang174 sadly, all of these guns have been nerfed so they only do 30 damage. Despite never even using them, I don't understand why they just severely limited the 3-shot capability instead.......

The G3 and the M60 fire the same round out of the same length barrel at the exact same rate of fire. True the actions, are very different, but other factors really do cause for an extremely similar "bang".

i noticed you play on the pc... so does nerfing a gun on one platform affect all platforms the game is played on? i used the scar and i didnt find it overpowered i think if ppl are getting owned they are so quick to use the words "over powered" ump45 was beast in beta now i find it kinda shit (ps3) when ppl talk nerfing guns and complain theres a good chance your going to make the gun worse and you still wont use it..... think ppl use your gun where its best suited... think before sayin O/P

The sound of the G3A3 here sound wimpy. I recall it sounded more like a distinct "BANG, BAMG" and not a "pop, pop" like in this video.

The G3 is not an assault rifle technically speaking, it's a battle rifle, it fires the same 7.62x51mm round as the M60, however the "firing note" of a weapon is partly dependent on the round being fired, but also on the noise of the guns action, and the exploding gas escaping out of the firearm, in theory much like the noise of an engine's exhaust system serving as one of the characterizing traits of it's acoustic signature. I only understand 40% of what I just typed.

the G3A3 is a battle rifle, it shoots the same rounds that the m60 uses (massive rounds) that's why the sound is so badass and I love this gun! :D

@exiquio There is also the MP 412 REX (Beast), the mp7 (amazing), the m39 EMR (cool sniper rifle), the SIG carbine, the 93R (fucking cool) and the KH 2002 it's very cool also

@exiquio Better using a headset, it is funny, but not as the single player campain, but the thing is that you need to do it if you want the KH 2002, and that gun is badass with the 3 rounds burst, I have unlocked 3 weapons yet, but it becomes boring when you finish the missions :) I enjoy playing with my new weapons in the multy tough

@PlayfulRobinho Thanks. I tried it last night, and it was cool. I got disconnected much more than I usually do in MP, but you'll have that. Seems like a long grind to get the weapons I want, but that's life.

@exiquio yeah, when I got the game the first things I tried was the SP and the MP, I just didn't know that to unlock those 7 guns you had to play CO-OP, but I think It's fine, I've already done all the missions but I've only unlocked the mp 412, the mp7 and the kh 2002, but It's a long way to get all the guns :(

SCAR-H has high damage because it fires a full-size rifle round. It should be subject to higher damage than the rest of the carbines offered to the Engineer class. Although, I will admit its damage is a bit out of control. A re-balancing should be in the cards.

The SCAR has 36% more damage than any of the other engineer weapons and is comparable to the G3A3. Check out my Platoon and you can download the entire spec sheet I have posted there. My in-game name is PumpJacka.
