Mutitus is actually the zombie form of the Frankenstein monster from the previous episode. That is how it was in the Japanese version but they never made the connection in the American series and the reason why the Frankenstein monster was so strong was because it was made of a more powerful clay.

No, in the original, he was made of dokita clay, or super putty. When mega dragonzord impaled dora franke and he blew up, it actually released the innermost energy of the super putty and resurrected him into a second, more powerful form: zombie franke.
