  • Had a brass one on the farm for longer then I've been around (and I'm 76) finally broke about 10 years ago, should have replaced it. Sometimes the less technological device is all that is needed.

  • Nice work!

could you share the design and the necessary bits, I might try to have a go at that ;-)

  • did you ever find out the rise of pump?

  • Where are the plans for this?

  • @paulcoughlin search youtube for "ram pump pt2" for plans.

  • Where can a person find the specs to build one? I have a stream and need to pump water up to my garden area. I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks!

  • Thes things work great, granted it doesn't pump much water but folk forget it pums around the clock.

  • Nice, can you give more information and specs? One thing I became confused about when I sat down to design one, is how the valve opens up after it slams shut. It seems to me that the pressure of water over the 12 foot drop would hold it closed?

  • @gizmoguyar

After the waste valve slams shut, the water is stopped so suddenly because it has no where to go. It drops to 0 psi, and the waste valve opens back up due to gravity pulling on it.

  • Why did u make this?

  • @PrestonTimmons I made it so I could pump water up a hill with no electricity.

  • good ''''''''

  • impresive
