9 times out of ten, pro's would tend to use 12lb line or 15lb breaking strain, the boys at korda certainly do, i was speaking to ali hamidi at the carp show this year and he was saying, in the summer use a lighter breaking strain line, carp tend not to see the finer diammeter line. Dont go for 20lb line because again it is a thick line and u wont need it, try using 15lb Ardena-line. fighting carp on lighter gear is much more enjoyable!!

White bread! Thats all you need for those fish! Whit bread, a trebbe hook and light tackle. Gets them all the time. If they wont take it off the bottom float it on top of the water. My 11 year old daughter caught one 27 pounds our last time out. Not good for eating but fun for the kids to fight!

Cardinal 55s are what you want for close-in fishing. Failing that Mitchell 300s. Shimano Baitrunners are OK but do have a sticky drag, and as for F*x Stratos - Blue Stratos more like (i.e. seriously naff!)

the best bait i have used so far is frosted mini wheats and 1 can of spinich,pore the whole can in and the add a bottle of vanilla,i use to only use without the vanilla but when i started using i also catch alot of cats now,its a great bait,give it about 20 minutes to dry out and it sets up like concrete,very hard to sling off and stays on reall good also,have you every tried,if not try it,you will see great results.

I like everything about this video all bar him biggin up the fox crapos reel. The fox reels are the worst reels i have ever seen. They are cheap looking, cheap feel to the touch, expensive tags, stiff, takes 2 turns for drag to react to one click, shit idea of shims to load line as ive heard of no end of returns because the idea simply doesnt work and people cant even load line. Load of shit and even if you work for them you should be honest and admit what a total fuck up fox stratos reels are.
