  • Rachel -- So: (1) Christine O'Donnell says China is out to get the US. Then: (2) Rove and Co. are secretly rum-running money from China by the boatload to beat the Democrats. I think I see a contradiction. Anyone else/

  • She considers campaign contributions to be her piggy-bank & of course she prefers cash which "may have been lost in the mail".

She's a sneaky, lying, immoral person.

  • @DillonDee1 She is not using her campaign contributions as a piggy-bank. She has the right to use the portion of her contributions for rent as long as she is using the same portion of her townhouse for her headquarters. Look, she is not rich and she couldn't afford to rent a separate office. So what. As for the character assassinating remarks you wrote--do you know her personally? You should refrain making such judgements before based on what you read and hear in these biased news reports.

  • O'Donnell's legal & IRS problems are far from over.

She has lied & lied & lied & illegally used campaign funds.

  • I am a tax accountant. She used part of her townhouse as her office and campaign headquarters. Therefore, she is allowed to use campaign funds to pay for rent and utilities for that portion of the expenses. It is completely legitimate. She could not afford the rent and utilities for a separate office space. I don't see this as being dishonest in any way. The woman who made that robo-call tape is the one who is being dishonest by not explaining the situation fully.

  • @dachille1"She confirmed to reporters that she pays one half of the rent on a house she shares with paid campaign staffer David Hust with donors' money, saying she uses it as a campaign office.Donnell’s personal finances drew attacks from her defeated opponent Mike Castle as well. She reportedly was confronted by the IRS over her failure to pay back taxes and said on her website that she did not receive her college degree for over a decade due to unpaid student debt".

    Like This?

  • @moopism Again she is entitled to use campaign funds for half her rent. The townhouse is very small and she has converted half of it into an office and meeting area for her campaign. THERE IS NOTHING ILLEGAL OR IMMORAL about this. What part of this don't you understand? She is not a rich woman. She is single and does not have a spouse backing her up as she runs these very expensive campaigns for Senate. She confirmed the rent payments to reporters because there is nothing wrong with it.!!!

  • @dachille1 It's illegal to spend campaign donations on yourself between campaigns and when you don't have a Treasurer. She just acted, illegally, as her own Treasurer. She runs for office, ANY office, gets right-wing donations, and uses them to pay her mortgage, food, gas, car insurance, etc. Then she loses, and just repeats the cycle. It's a modern-day "The Producers." Also, I don't see why incompetence in managing her own budget makes her a great pick for Senator.

  • @SleeplessEric She is 100% better and 100% smarter than her admitted Marxist Democrat opponent Chris Coons. I would pick her over Coons anytime. He is just a rubber stamp for Obama's policies. And look at the way he ran his county's finances into the ground. Let's hear you talk about the baggage that Harry Reid has or that any of these Democrats have, the baggage that Obama has. Somehow it only disqualifies Christine O'Donnell?

  • @dachille1 Or this?

"Next week, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) will ask the Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss to open a criminal investigation into Christine O'Donnell's abuse of campaign funds. We'll also ask the Federal Election Commission to look into the matter. It seems pretty clear to us that she has been using her campaign money to finance her personal life, which is flat-out illegal."

  • @dachille1 Or this?

"Murray's call marks the second time a former O'Donnell campaign staffer has come forward in recent days to publicly rebuke the former television commentator's candidacy.David Keegan, a former O'Donnell aide, told The New York Times earlier this month that when he found out about O'Donnell's personal financial problems, he decided he could no longer work for her.

"We are constantly trying to hold her back from spending. She was financially completely irresponsible."

  • @moopism Wow the second former (fired) aid to come forward (with an agenda). She didn't have a lot of money to pay these people and they are bitter. I bet they wish how they were with her now that the money is coming in. So what if she is a former television commentator? Ronald Reagan was a former actor. Get off your high horse. Its these Ivy League educated dunderheads who have put us in the situation we are in now. Sorry she doesn't have a Harvard education. She couldn't afford it.

  • Personal financial problems--Her house was nearly foreclosed on. This is why she isn't a good candidate? If that were true, it would eliminate most of the American people. At least she has faced the same money problems that average American's have faced. That makes her more like one of us than those career politicians who have lived off the government all their adult lives. Does the fact that my wife and I have back taxes that we are paying to the IRS disqualify us from running for office?

  • As for her degree, its not that she didn't receive her degree for over a decade. She didn't get her copy of her diploma. They were holding her diploma hostage until she paid off a student loan which I have no problem with. She has paid off the debt. She earned her degree and was right to claim she did. Again, I can identify with her as so many of us have struggled to pay back student loans. This is just a lot of nitpicking nonsense by people who have another agenda-political or otherwise.

  • @dachille1 - you've posted so much misinformation I don't know where to begin. But she lied for 17 yrs about having a college degree WHEN SHE HAD NOT COMPLETED HER COURSES.

Once she was being exposed they went to the college to work a deal - maybe they gave her credit for working on a TV station, offered her correspondence courses to take, or had her submit papers to get credits. But she finally completed her courses recently & got her degree on Sept 10th.

  • @DillonDee1 She had to take another course to meet new requirements after they held on to her diploma for 10 or 15 years. Though she met requirements back then, they kept the clock running because she was not awarded the diploma. That's not the same as not earning a degree. Besides, I care more about how she stands on the issues and she is right on all of those.

  • By Coon’s own standard, he led the county from being “fundamentally sound” to the verge of bankruptcy in just four years, lamenting the county was “18 months from being out of money, unable to operate.” As New Castle County’s spending skyrocketed by 10 percent under Coons’ leadership, he shifted the burden for his irresponsibility to taxpayers with three massive property tax hikes of 5 percent, 17.5 percent and 25 percent respectively.

  • In 2008, Fitch Ratings downgraded the county’s “rating outlook” from stable to negative because the county’s cash balances were decreasing under Coons’ reckless stewardship. Trailing by double-digits less than 60 days before the election, Coons is desperately attempting to rewrite history and distract voters from his record of out-of-control spending and massive tax hikes as he drove New Castle County to the brink of bankruptcy.

  • @dachille1 - more than 15 yrs. And I don't believe it - let's have her release her full college transcript so we can see what kind of accomodations were made so she could finally get a degree - after lying about having one for yrs.

  • @dachille1 Funny how she's managed to pay the mortgage on her "office". The quote I posted was from a magazine article, so write the author if you have issues with high horses.

She's flawed goods, and all her win in this primary has done is ensure the seat will be Dem. The shoes are just starting to drop, and the poll numbers will follow. I don't expect you to grasp that because all you true believers have a tenuous hold on reality anyway. She's not ready for prime time.....

  • @dachille1 Harvard? Shit, she couldn't afford the hole in the wall she did go to, and couldn't collect her degree for over a decade because of unpaid student loans.

Oh yeah, SHE'S bringing fiscal responsibility to Washington.

You guys sure are good for a laugh, I'll say that.

  • WHO GIVES A SHIT!!!! I SURE DON'T! We've got a Muslim President & Socialists in Congress FUCKING THIS COUNTRY FAR MORE THAN ANY GODDAMN PORN VIDEO!

  • sounds to me like the bitch making this call got her ass fired by Christine and is really really pissed off! I COULDN'T CARE LESS YOU ASSHOLE! I don't care if Christine is a gay nun on dope, SHE KICKED THE ASS OF ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS! WE THE PEOPLE ARE MAD AS HELL AND WE AREN'T GOING TO TAKE THIS FUCKING SHIT ANYMORE!

  • @obamaisamarxist actually, murray caught o'donnell renting hotel pron.

  • @milowent That's a fireable offense, imo. Hotel porn costs ~$15! It's free on the internet. Anyone dumb enough to pay for porn should not be elected.

  • That lady on the phone sounds like an annoying valley girl. Just sayin'. I have no dog in this race.

  • She's kind of pretty.

  • I am not supporting Christine O'Donnell at all.
