isnt a script to crouch jump every time you jump a bit cheating? that gives you a huge edge without much skill involved. thats like if every time you were behind someone and able to backstab them, there was a script that just did it for you.
I think STAR's point is that you don't need the big earner. Leptir barely used the dead ringer at all, so the cloak bonus isn't really needed. Other knives would provide a much more useful effect.
There didn't seem to be anything in the video that couldn't be accomplished with the regular knife and keep the 25 hp... DR charges so fast, and forces you to uncloak far enough from the enemies, that in the interval between stabbing and using DR it would've recharged anyway, or simply recharged from a dropped weapon.
@videogamelover98 No one is super suspicious of a sniper not firing in the middle of a firefight and he has the same run speed as spy. He's one of the few disguises that has at least some element of believability, along with other spies, engies depending on location, and demomen, sometimes.

I definitely don't think the Big Earner is a bad weapon IF you use it with the Deadringer. Heck, "bad" is generally very subjective in TF2 because no weapons are really designed to be a direct upgrade over another. In the end a lot of it comes down to personal preference and game style. It seems really silly to me to go "herp derp X is terrible" because it might work just fine for other people, and the notion that all weapons are equally good for everyone is quite skewed.
@GuitarjakeofGuitars I didn't really include stock weapons in those. Most stock weapons have no bonus effects at all so obviously the specialized weapons are gonna be more powerful in many cases (especially for, say, pyro)
Also, the big earner isnt worth it, you can basically get one-shot by rockets, pipes, scattergun shots and so on. Its fun to mess with, but its not that good.

I really think you should check out some of whatsyourdeal's videos about spy, especially the videos he has on the man of honor set and the enforcer. His vids are also stickied on the official steam forum spy home page as the espionage series which are amazing if you ever want to learn something new. I just think you should hear his opinion on the enforcer and the big earner, might make you rethink a few things.

I've watched your video's and in no way are you a good spy for 80 hours, I've only played 42 give or take and I got way more class then you, plus I don't script. Stabby stab is prob the best spy video's on youtube. What exactly do you "know" about spy more then others? I don't understand you fail really hard through out the video if not for the large map and many escape paths you would be dead from any competent team.
@10takesorless More than half that time was spent on a mac with major lag. This video is about 3 hours into playing with my new computer. Without lag, anyone can play better if they have a basic understanding of a class. Relax.

Try -AutoConfig in launch options secondly you claim to be two times better then some people I could care less about and also claim that because you are at 80 hours which this video was made some moths ago so you are most likly around the 100+ mark that you are really great spy? I challenge you to a 1v1 (Boring as it may be) dual cause with only 42 hours under my belt I still think this will be a breeze.

@grandpajoe6191 He's good, just not that good. He is an above par spy. I'm an above par spy, but certainly better then him. It's pretty clear he plays only in the same few maps, unlike stabby, omgninja etc. He can abuse the amount of escape routes congrats, but I don't see the objective really as an importance in any of the maps he plays often. I have 60 now, but time doesn't measure skill. He claims that being this good in only 80 hours time is amazing, which is is not.

It seems really silly to me to go "herp derp X is terrible" because it might work just fine for other people, and the notion that all weapons are equally good for everyone is quite skewed.

@GuitarjakeofGuitars I didn't really include stock weapons in those. Most stock weapons have no bonus effects at all so obviously the specialized weapons are gonna be more powerful in many cases (especially for, say, pyro)

Also, the big earner isnt worth it, you can basically get one-shot by rockets, pipes, scattergun shots and so on. Its fun to mess with, but its not that good.

I really think you should check out some of whatsyourdeal's videos about spy, especially the videos he has on the man of honor set and the enforcer. His vids are also stickied on the official steam forum spy home page as the espionage series which are amazing if you ever want to learn something new. I just think you should hear his opinion on the enforcer and the big earner, might make you rethink a few things.

I've watched your video's and in no way are you a good spy for 80 hours, I've only played 42 give or take and I got way more class then you, plus I don't script. Stabby stab is prob the best spy video's on youtube. What exactly do you "know" about spy more then others? I don't understand you fail really hard through out the video if not for the large map and many escape paths you would be dead from any competent team.

@10takesorless More than half that time was spent on a mac with major lag. This video is about 3 hours into playing with my new computer. Without lag, anyone can play better if they have a basic understanding of a class. Relax.

Try -AutoConfig in launch options secondly you claim to be two times better then some people I could care less about and also claim that because you are at 80 hours which this video was made some moths ago so you are most likly around the 100+ mark that you are really great spy? I challenge you to a 1v1 (Boring as it may be) dual cause with only 42 hours under my belt I still think this will be a breeze.

@10takesorless Son, I played with this motherfucker several times and he's good. He knows the right timing to stab as well as memorizing all the escape routes. Yes, he may be failing these days but its because he's practicing and mastering other classes. I played for 200 hrs and he usually has several points higher than me everytime as a spy despite my desperate killingspree. Leptir is a respected spy in youtube. What makes you, a noob who played for 42 hours, think you can beat him?

@grandpajoe6191 He's good, just not that good. He is an above par spy. I'm an above par spy, but certainly better then him. It's pretty clear he plays only in the same few maps, unlike stabby, omgninja etc. He can abuse the amount of escape routes congrats, but I don't see the objective really as an importance in any of the maps he plays often. I have 60 now, but time doesn't measure skill. He claims that being this good in only 80 hours time is amazing, which is is not.

There are a shit load of people who are professionals in the spy class. Leptir is one of them. Besides his record says he played for 400 hours. If you want to challenge him and record him, sure you can. But I'm just sayin...don't rage quit son :)
