To record computer gaming, you just need capture software. FRAPS is most commonly used, but there are others out there.

I'd suggest downloading Windows Media Encoder. Media Center uses a very basic version of that program so it's easy for most consumers to use, but the full version has a lot more options. It's also free.

You'll just have to learn how to use the program if you're not familiar with all of the different quality settings. Also, keep in mind that the higher the quality you're recording at, the more the lag, especially if your computer's not all that powerful.

It should work with any and every console except the PSP. The PSP AV cables, last I checked, only output videos and music, not games. Only the PSP Component cables let you play games on a TV. So unless you find a capture card that has Component inputs, you won't be able to use the PSP with it.
