Cannot believe the new of Leon. I remember the day when Leon, Bobby, Allen, Christy, Sean came to my restaurant ("Meeting Point") in Annanagar and were discussing about launching Moksha. Hi Allen how are you guys?
While I was in college I had the pleasure of seeing perform at my College's NATIONAL NASA convention in 2002-03. He was a fine vocalist and certainly had the crowd really fired up. A special memory that will stay with me, sad that I never got to meet him personally!

Leon was easily one of the greatest rock musicians india has eva produced. I have had the good fortune of attending many moksha concerts. Sadly I cudn find any songs by moksha. I personally feel moksha is the greatest indian rock band! their music will always live on.. leon will always live among us.. if anyone has any songs of theirs pls pls put it up on youtube or myspace...
i never saw him, many years ago i met Leon's brother Peter on a train and during the 2 day ride from Calcutta to Chennai he told me about his Rockstar brother and played me many bootlegs that he had on him, including Dine With The Devil & Stay
i have no idea who i met - so i take it that there is no Peter in the family,
This one was carrying a G3 cassette and a Bob Dylan - Slow Train Coming that he said he and Leon Never travelled without. He even mentioned Leon's asthma and that he never smoked or drank and that he gargled with vodka or brandy before a gig to clear his throat.

I just found out and it breaks my heart. I saw them perform only once. They didn't do Maiden that day, it was deliberate; Leon said that he was sick of hearing 'Moksha does only Maiden'. But I got to see them,Thank God for that. Their cover of Tom Sawyer was simply amazing. Some things are too good to last.
