What's continually funny (in the schadenfreude for others way) is that the main points (plural) of the series are STATED. Also funny (in a way where I can share the laugh) is that people ask why I don't post any more.
How do you know who you responded to? (Your response if above the other comments.)
I don't know about others, but I think your posts are very entertaining and would look forward to more. However I haven't seen all those in the archives so perhaps I should start there.
If you're trying to remind people and philosophers that language just doesn't cut it, that the medium is not what it mediates, that representations aren't what they represent, you're going about it in a very contrived way.
Get behind all these concepts, the frustration, and the stilted gestures. Relax (meditate?, talk less?, do some weeding with your vocabulary?). Take a step back, breathe.
The self is only a concept . It doesn't really exist. It is the Illusion of self that causes desire. What you desire expresses self. To be one with the universe you must let go of self and seek the higher conciousness.
The problem is that when you start bounding such obscure vocabulary about, the already outstanding gulf between what each word means to each individual becomes ever more vast.
this vid is one of my favorites of yours...you inspire others to reflect but also to show experience has interpretative depth...and whilst doing this you are so present to the moment....wonderful to watch. thank you..hanna
I have to say, the music and visuals (although the later can easily be ignored) are distracting, which is annoying because I want to really hear what you're saying as the weight of the video is in the words.
I understand the words, the sentences, your english... Yet I don't receive any message, any meaning from them. I don't even watch the video, I only hear the droning of your voice that fills the would be silence, but nothing really comes from them. You say: "If only I could explain..." Then I recommend that you should learn how to express yourself, and THEN produce a video, maybe there could be a discourse, otherwise its just noise in the end.
The thing is that I was not outlining my omissions, I was explaining that I'm a unblemished recipient for the information that you are trying to send, I receive it perfectly, but can't make heads or tails of it. Its my humble opinion that the message itself is at fault, but I could be wrong...
I'm going backwark, from your second to this first one, and then I'll go to 3 and 4. This one reminded me an old saying: "You can bring the horse to the river but you cannot make him drink" You do bring your listener to the river..But we have to do the drinking. Hey thank you for bringing us to the river!Salut!
This is a very nice video. And ill be honest, the sophistication level of english used here is over me, i dont quit get it. But somehow i feel that was the point. dunno.
Go live your fucking life Ben. We have had enough of you and your pedantry ;] Your buddy Az came to realize that this is the most important thing there is. Don't become like Thomas Aquinas, realizing that the words you scramble on a piece of paper are in everyway meaningless, but it's too late then. Surely rationality defines man, but to make an addiction out of it is to disregard Epicurus in all of his wisdom ;] I'm only joking with you, but seriously take it easy =p
This stopped me in my tracks. My lack of knowledge on the subject of Philosophy has often rendered your erudite expression of your ideas impenetrable to me but this, this somehow made perfect sense. It touch me, it touched something at my very core.
same for me , english isn´t my native language and this is estreme. I still don´t understand if he is smart or if he is pseudo smart ( makes us think that he knows what he talks about by being to confusing)
If "smart" means to effectively confuse, then that he is. Spark notes: He wants to illustrate the complex nature of consciousness in the philosophical sense of "truth" (a universal). Philosophy does not satisfy him when attempts are made to explain human consciousness. He then questions the nature of desire. Somewhat saying the entire process is actually all of its intergraded parts as they are and continue to be, because the only thing indentifiable is the degree to which we express ourselves.
when a new born baby first drinks water could it be stoned imaculate ,when it breaths for the first time , when it hears , when the first face apears from the fog of shapes to reason ?
wow i stared at my computer for a while after seeing this... To comment would be a mistake so i will do another thing. why this whole process? of putting up a representation of you and ur thought for the other? and why would i tend to think about ur thoughts when you are so far? the connections of individuals aren't within the confines of language alone but in being itself, language instead of being something ready at hand has become present at hand. why is this?
Perhaps the circuitous nature of the argument comes from the fact that consciousness is by its nature recursive and reflexive and always the personal narrative, by its very nature, both subjective and private.
who the fuck are you ..

You're being willfully obscure and abstruse.
Either that or confused or you're trying for something that is almost impossible to do.
It isn't particularly erudite. Just strange.
What cannot be said must be passed over in silence..or...discombobulating jargon...?
Necessary ? Language a descent ?
This is either poetry or you lost me.

what 'matters', what has efficacy,
is what generative acitivities,
lived praxis, evolve
from the joyous affirmation of
irony and creativity
in self, in other

Sorry so long in reply, but this still strikes me. Wonderful, comprehensive reply.

an obsession with language
leads to nihilism;
but thereafter, perhaps,
the experience of Being,
of sentience at play,
opens anew to a post-formal
engagement with the Actual.

I'd recommend you don't specifically outline your omissions before presenting an assessment unless the intent is to assess your omissions ;-)

...maybe communicational anarchy is part of the communique itself.

lol. That would probably explain a lot. But a message with no governing rules can't really be expected to be intelligible.
InfectedDaemon 3 years ago
No. There are rules here, and rote, and method.

Kids this is what happens to you when you push God out.
You think your smart.
But you can't transfer hardly a single idea.

If you regard ideas as a coin passed from hand to hand unmolded by the heat of the interceding palms, you're not yet the intended audience.
