I'm using USB. And it controls! But with latency. (almost 0,3 seg, yes yes.)

I got a M-Audio, and a pretty pretty god CPU and processor and avery thing.

@physicswagner Cable doesn't really matter. Google ASIO4ALL for latency information. It also depends on OS or whatever... Your DSP software will have general configuration for it, at least to get it down to 20ms or so.

@physicswagner Hmm... I can't really help you there. I strictly use Ableton Live for all of my musical needs and I have little knowledge of others. (Besides Reason which doesn't support VSTs or FL Studio which is just a pain overall) I apologize for not being of any help. :'(

you completely wiped out any dynamics by over compressing the piano sound shame really cause you play beautifully. For a second i even thought you had the velocity settings switched off completely.

I was just lisstening and watching your Akoustik Piano demo and noticed this You Tube video shows the Piano you are playing with the left - right reversed. What I mean is the picture shows your left hand playing the high notes and your right hand playing the low notes. This is backwards so the video was reversed!

Yeah. All of NI programs support both OSX and Windows. They exactly the same. I use it on VIsta. In response to the previous user saying it's a VST, it's also a standalone if you don't wanna get a host.

Do you have to have an 88 key keyboard to be able to use all of the keys?

not necessarly, I have one 61keys and I use all the 88keys with the transpose Button, that change the octaves...well, for me its fine

Yeah... You need 88 keys to play the whole range, unless you like pressing other keys in the middle of you playing something that is a real piano, then you can get some controller with transpose.

Interesting video but no offense, I still think that Synthogy Ivory might be better (sampled)-- although I must say that NI Akoustik Piano is definately very good too!!

Only the Bösendorfer is sampled really badly in my opinion, does not sound like one at all. The best sampled is the Bechstein, my choice.
