Hey I have a boss gt8 , can I emulate these effects on it effectively ? Or should I invest in analog pedals too?

@s0ulfire GT-8 is neat man! I can emulate the exact tones on my ME-70. Work on it, a little tremolo, the same analog delay The Edge uses for all his songs, and a little crunch. Don't forget to add tons and tons of reverb. :D

@txmade89 it is somewhat capable except the phase 90 and Boss PH2 which is hard to emulate on multiFX.

@prunecake PH-2 settings on the bridge part are the following: Rate - 8 o'clock, Depth - 4 o'clock, Res - Full, Mode - 2.

If you are not using the Boss PH-2 then its impossible to nail the bridge part.

ohh... Im actually usin GT10... I kinda got the phaser thingy... I used 2 phasers.. Like 1st phaser is the superphase and the other is the biphase ^^, Thanks~~ nice cover...

GT-10 is great! Look for the phaser that emulates the Phase90 for the chorus then look for the 12-stage phaser which emulates the PH-2's mode 2. Biphase is kinda like the Mutron.

Nope. Phase 90 is a 4 stage phaser while the PH-2's Mode II is a 12 stage phaser. So you need a 4 and 12 stage phasers.

Yo, I agree Mike IS a genius. I heard the BOSS PH-3 was the pedal to use to get that harmonic-phase effect for the middle pat of the song (with two notes hit over again). I tried it out in the store and I couldn't get the right sound. What settings did you have YOUR phaser pedal on, dials etc...

Other than distortion and phaser, did u use other effects for that part? Seriously, you nailed that sound, it totally rocks!

Hey. Its the Boss PH-2 and not the PH-3 that nails the bridge part of this song.

Even Mike doesn't wanna use the PH-3 because of the tonal difference.

in 4:09 i engaged the Boss PH-2 then disengaged MXR Phase 90, Tremolo and Chorus. then in 4:22 added distortion on this part as mike does.

on the intro and verse use: Overdrive (just a slight gain to emulate mikes amp), Tremolo (subtle settings and low depth to emulate the rotosphere), Delay, and Chorus (mike really uses a chorus here to make it spacey). Then on the Chorus part kick in MXR Phase 90 @ 1 o'clock setting.
