Does it have a band on its foot? Also, some people get their pet birds microchipped in case they get free....can you take it to a vet to be checked for one? Or will he not let you carry him....next time put your hand by his feet and say "step up!" If he does, he may be someones lost pet..

I am not sure where you live, but if it gets cold there this bird will not survive the winter. Are there any rescue groups in your area that can take it. Seems he/she is very domesticated...had to have been a pet. Beautiful Bird!!
