This don't sound right to me. On the taped interrogations CBS 48 hours aired, which is still there now on the website, you can see Rachael Mullenix sitting there stunned and wants her mother. One of the detectives mentions about some evidence supports that her mother was killed by two people. On Ian's confession, he mentioned that he had a small pocket knife, and went to go get a bigger knife... It's very possible he could have used both knives on that woman. There should be a retrial.

Yes a minimum of 25 years. Then she will get parole hearing in front of a parole board and they will look at her behavior in the past 25 years and other factors and make a decision as to whether she is safe to be released or needs to stay in prison.
her mother barbara mullenix was an abusive alcoholic and really should not even been able to raise a child. It would have been better for someone to step in and take racheal away from her so she could have had a chance at a decent life.
