I do eat at some Japanese places -though I'm not big on sushi- but think I'd be a bit afraid of some of the food there in this footage, I'd probably make him try something I'm not sure of first and say "Is it okay?" but I might say it too much he'd eventually trick me by telling me something super nasty was very good...he's still a prankster.

In Japan it is beautiful and right thing to eat all served but i heard in some other country it's good manner to leave some food as that shows server "had enough" and well satisfied.

When he's asked what he says before eating, that reminded me of when Japanese friends have asked me that too. They always say "itadakimasu" before eating, which is a bit like "bon appetit" but means "I humbly receive" or words to that effect. My friends were surprised when I said we don't have a similar saying in English.
