  • We miss you, Rick.

  • @donerkebep

    rick deserved better...good man

  • David Gilmour's voice makes me cry..beautiful and haunting

  • BRILLIANT! one of the many reasons why Pink Floyd are truly an amazing band is how u hear Gilmours such peaceful sounding voice and then Rogers comes in with his creepiness yet such unique/powerful voice... its like no other and its all about the feeling...LONG LIVE THE FLOYD! :)

  • they always sounded perfect live <3

  • im a songwriter and cannot even conceive of creating anything as brilliant as this record. its in my top 5...rock on boys

  • 00:06 .....He didn't know that he doesn't need a Cable to play electric guitar ;D

  • Ηow fancy headphones :P

  • WE MISS RICHARD W....

  • I never knew it was Rick Wright singing in this song. I feel like I've been missing out a little every time I heard "The Wall."

  • @revjoe250 what? when?

  • @DyingPulseProduction I... I have no idea. I swear I saw Rick Wright singing from the keyboards, but I dunno, I was really drunk at the time. Hey, like Dark Side! But I was fucking bombed when I watched this last. The screen was mostly a blurry mess.

  • @revjoe250 Maybe it was when David was singing right after the intro, which leads into Roger's part?

  • @revjoe250 haha your awesome

  • @revjoe250 Uhhhhh???? David Gilmore sang the first part, and then Roger Waters sang the second part. Where did you get Richard Wright singing it :)

  • @revjoe250 its not

  • 0:23 richard wright :'- )

  • You slip out of your depth and out of your mind with your fear flowing out behind you....as you claw the thin ice. They have done better and longer songs but this one always gets me going deep inside my own head. Every time. The band kind of transcends every stereotype through the ability of their music to invoke catharsis.

  • Nice vid, yet another Floyd masterpiece.

  • Rick... <3

  • No necesita comentario esta melodía...

  • Rick is amazing in the video :(

  • I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to be sad when I listen to this song... 30 thumbs ^^

  • why cant they release a DVD version of this set?.

  • im royally pissed i will most likely never get to see pink floyd with david gilmour

  • @anderson5908 who gives a shit, if you missed Roger Waters on this tour.. It's something you will never see again. .And the show was the show of a lifetime..

  • Was that I baby crying?

  • @suburbandrudgery its part of the song

  • to faithless 1976. without black performers like Robert Johnson Muddy Waters BBking,Little Richard you woulnt have Rock.Blacks were the one who inspired Elvis.I dont know why rappers say they started rap because they didnt have any say in the music industry back in the early 80's.They started rock

  • 4 people like the cock

  • @bub2u3 u must be the one who likes the cock to leave a stupid comment like that grow up dipshit

  • 0:05

    NINJA CABLE DISCONNECTION!

  • look at rogers' headphones!!!!!

    it's amazing how it's big

  • A*M*A*Z*I*N*G!

  • what the fuck these four 'no'? I think it accidentally, inadvertently went to qwerty?

  • I love how the crowd is always shutting the fuck up during the song, as compared to what they do today

  • Comment removed

  • @METALLICA7757 Funny that you say that, because Waters got very upset at a fan who was lighting off firecrackers and allegedly spat on him during a show. In my opinion, Floyd isn't just about having a good time, as some people seem to think, but about thinking.

  • @shibbyfoo929 Yeah, and that really disturbed waters... in fact, that was the instant that INSPIRED him to write "The wall"... the concert was called In the Flesh so that's where the two songs name comes from.

  • @METALLICA7757 I went to the 1980 performance of The Wall....just seen Roger Waters updated version....and I made this exact point to the mate I went with....In 1980 everyone just sat and listened to the songs....2011...everyone`s jumping up and down and yelling.....Loved the 2011 show...but it lacked something that`s hard to put into words....In 1980 we saw a rock band perform The Wall.....In 2011 it was Roger and his backing musicians....and trust me it makes a difference.

  • you know, i've been meaning to sk myself this, why does david gilmour do most of the singing, it seems like he sings 75% of all pink floyd songs as well, i thought roger was the main singer

  • @METALLICA7757 Roger/Dave sing exactly 50/50. The other 85% is instrumental. The remaining 14.9% is Rick. And Nick contributed 1%. Unless you include Roy Harper. And bootlegs.

  • @charadeyouareha well i think they sound a hell of a lot alike, it's just i think dave's voice is indof more, "rocknroll" sounding as compared to roger's voice, it has a kindof quieter tone to it, and it puts me to sleep everytime i listen to it, like the wall for instance. so i disagree

  • I recently saw Roger Waters live. It was AMAZING. He sounds just as good as he used to back then. Man, I love him. I LOVE Pink Floyd. I wish the others were there, too..

  • I have a theory about these two unearthly voices: David's comes from heaven...Roger's comes from hell...

  • @Delmonaco1969 Roger has a hard time with the high notes and is rough.Dave can hit the high notes easy and his voice is more smooth.Rick sings low but doesnt try to hit the high notes to rough like roger and he multitracks his voice like on the song "Stay".Course Rick doesnt try to be to pretensious when he sings.Nick only sang lead as a joke on "The Xmas song"

  • Fuck!

  • I had to do a double take when they showed David and Richard. I know that I was listening to Floyd, but David and Richard looked so very young in this video. Then they panned the camera over to Roger. I could recognize Roger any where or at any time in his career. I wish I had the hair that Nick and Roger has now, or even Richard had before he pass on to the great gig in the sky. This video brings me way back to the very distant past.

  • Look at the roadie pulling the 1/4 inch cable out of the guitar at 0:06.

  • 0:05 actually sry

  • 1:05 SABATOGED

  • if the guy in the begining did that for fun i would lmao

  • lol :06 owned

  • this song beats the shit out of at least half the things I've ever heard in my entire life

  • thank you thank you...

  • THE BEST CONCERT OF ALL THE TIMES

  • omg <3

  • i think the great Floyds are at their worse here, close to Caporal Clegg. I can't believe i've watched the film "The Whale" twice in the days.

  • @yepheth Corporal Clegg is awesome and unless English isn't your first language, you ought to try learning proper grammar and spelling if you want anyone to take your opinion seriously.

  • Comment removed

  • @beepmotherfuckerbeep it appears to me that anyway you've taken it seriously :-) To consider Caporal Clegg awesome is matter for deaf fans, so i usually don't spend my time talking about music with deaf fans. About the grammar ...we don't need your education ;-)

  • @yepheth ...OMG WTF? Shut up.

  • @DatingGameKiller Shut up? Why? I was just wondering how i could have been a P.F. fans for so long time without dying of boredom. That's all.

  • @yepheth haha which film is that one? lol you ignorant

  • only 107,130 views?

  • wonderfull...

  • wow - i don't want to be all negative and everything, but this performance was anti-climactic - gilmour's guitar was absent right after the last line sung by waters - not anywhere close to the smackdown he issues on the studio version -

  • @michaelp3138 wow dude its a concert ..no body is perfect

  • Theres more heart, soul, creativity and downright talent in this one song than the whole genre history of rap/hip hop shit/ combined.

  • @mercmarc ...Thank you. I certainly agree!

  • WHY is this not on DVD or Blu-Ray??? I WANT THIS!!!!

  • @progrockr78 pretty sure i got this on a cd in my room not as good as a dvd im sure but still awesome non the less

  • UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH! Babe! I'm crying...

  • roger waters sounded so much better then than he does today

  • @hockeyjockguitarist that is not true at all i just saw his new live wall tour he sounds damn good maybe a sliver different but still amazing im trying to get some videos off my droid i took there on oct 15 in hartford

  • @anderson5908 i'm not saying he doesn't still sound great, its just that to my ears, his voice was stronger and clearer than it is today.

  • @hockeyjockguitarist You are correct

  • Pink Floyd is the best. Nothing gets better than this. Pink Floyd is real. It's so deep. This is REAL music right here.

  • i'm crying

  • @waluigiween me too...

  • How the fuck is any Hip Hop or Rap song better than this?

  • @ledzeppsam becuz now kids only want up beat music in life. its so sad to cuz i was playin this song in the car with my bud and he told me he didnt like it cuz it was sad. our world has lost so much meaning in the world.

  • All I have to say is thanks to my older sister for buying this album in 1980 when I was 10, and I am sorry for stealing it every day. One of the very few bands that never gets old .. they are timeless.

  • I am not worthy lol

  • mason kicks the shit out of those drums.

  • genius

  • Gilmore sings so warm and Waters sings so cold... and tht tears my soul apart...

  • @MrNeoclassical i kno right i equally love their voices, but its like in comfortably numb u get this eerie approach from waters, but its like gilmoure comforts u in the chorus

  • WOW!...

  • they did not come south in 1980 that is the reason i did not see them. But i still remenber the wall being play at school.

  • pink floyd is all you have to say. they wrote there on songs, its true feeling at the time . not some crap i dont under stand to day!

  • grandi!!

  • Amazing song & preformence!

  • I totally agree,,it make a better person out of you if you listen to the best.

  • I feel bad for all the noobs, listening to their pop crap who have missed out on such a treasure in music, its a shame really...long live Pink Floyd

  • Very self indulgent album on Roger Waters part but that's not saying that The Wall isn't one of the greatest Rock albums of all time.

  • @pucksterz12 what do people mean by self indulgent? ive heard Animals been called that too and i dont know what people are trying to say

  • @cris5949 After Dark side, it is well documented that Roger started having delusions of grandeur and wanted to control the band and actually become "Pink". This is what tore apart the creative process and ended the band for him. Don't get me wrong - I still love the Floyd (mainly the early stuff), just not a huge fan of Rogers'. If you get a chance and haven't yet, check out: Pink Floyd - behind the wall. Very cool documentary.

  • @pucksterz12 i can understand that. i dont understand when you say the album is self indulgent. is it the way he wrote or something?

  • I wish I could go back in time and be there, but I wasnt even born yet for another five years

  • I wish I could go back and re-experience this album all over again for the first time.

It's just such a brilliant piece of work. As David Lee Roth once sang, 'Where have all the good times gone'?

  • great!!

  • Doggonit, everytime there's a catchy melody in a Pink Floyd song, the song is tooo short. Just like Knockin' On Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan---catchy as hell melody, but the song isn't extensive. It's like a euphoric drug pill that only lasts a few minutes---I WANT MORE!

  • this is awesome after all the years of loving and enjoying their music ,the wall has been torn down ,thanks to you tube ,I can finally see how they look while performing

thank you for sharing this video!

  • THE MISSION UK IS SO MUCH BETTER

  • Real nice .

  • Why the fuck is this not on dvd?

  • ...well the actual live concert. Seriously an official release who doesn't want that?

  • @rBrad4D ...Last I heard, the Floyd team was reviewing footage of this particular tour, to see if they could put together a "quality" DVD of the show. This was 2 years or more ago. Hopefully, they will be able to match a good soundtrack with the live footage and release a nice product soon.

  • @DatingGameKiller

well look when the video was posted.... this happened way more than 2 years ago

  • @TheMANright101 ...Yes, I realize that. It's not that decent footage of the show doesn't exist, it's the matter of the Floyd being able to match all the good video with the matching, quality audio. That is, for some reason, the only snag in their hesitance to release a live DVD from these performances.

  • God poor Rog was ugly by that time...

  • ooooh dear god....

  • roger waters is the best one of pink floyd and thats enought he wrote the wall . ok not all but his letters and he take pink floyd to the top

  • @jearimon

    you cant really say that.

I personally am a big fan of the great sound coming from the keyboard of the the late Richard Wright. Others argue that David Gilmoures guitar and singing skills are what made PF so big. In the end this a completely pointless discussion. What took the band to the top was the sum of the input of all four of them

  • The lyrics have a lot of sense...

  • Exelente post.... uuu baby blue....

  • Funny. Gilmour always did most of the work (guitar and vocals) in this band and doesn't need headphones. But listen to Waters with or without them and he sounds like someone is standing on his foot.

  • @GuitarJaeger50 you just don't get it, do you?

  • Thanks 4 posting this,it's awesome.Does any1 know why Roger Waters wears the headphones during the concert?Does he wear them so he can hear the original song & match the tone?

  • he wore them because he used to perform without headphones and with the audience and everything else going on with the show it was too distracting. with the headphones he hears his bass and his vocals. Today, every artist who performs live with headphones but they arent nearly as large as Roger's

  • FUCK YEAH!!!!!

  • Man you know there was a rumor that ech performance of The Wall cost $1 million? FUCKING INSANE!!!!!!!! But it was their best album in my opinion. Better than Dark Side of the Moon and Animals, even!

  • getting to liste to this growing up souds like a great experice i get picked o at school cuz every oe listes to lil waye and rap and im listening to pink floyd and it really does make a diffrence on our lives...

  • so true man

  • @HOWxTOxDOxFIRE you need to sort out your grammar

  • @Aggi93 ok sorry grammer police geesh just listen to the great music and quit being an aggie

  • @HOWxTOxDOxFIRE You're not alone. I listen to Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Pink Floyd, The Clash, Aerosmith, etc. and all I get is shit for not listening to that rap shit. Sadly, the media monster has brainwashed and corrupted society into what it is now, and it's sad, because kids like you and me aren't exposed to such beauty. This is the definition of music, like it or not.

  • @RATMAudioslaveJunky who gives a shit what other people think of you. when you are out of school see where they are then. rise abve because you are a cutthroat.

  • @HOWxTOxDOxFIRE pink floyd is the best band of all time! they will be around much longer than any of those stupid niggers...

  • @faithless1976.#1:the beatles,#2:pink floyd,#3:the police,#4:supertramp.

  • @diztanguy Supertramp? wheres Led Zep?

  • @faithless1976 Glad to see you're showing your tollerance for others.....you make me proud to be human.

  • @HOWxTOxDOxFIRE same

  • @HOWxTOxDOxFIRE OMG!!! I totally feel you dude! I go through the same bullshit! You're right man! It makes a HUGE difference in our lives! :D

  • @HOWxTOxDOxFIRE

Let me tell you something, Lil' Wayne sucks! I like all kinds of music but, Pink Floyd is the best band of all time in my opinion. Keep listening to what you like. There is so much more meaning and talent in this song than all Lil Wayne songs combined.

  • have wonder how david can have such pefect skin and a amazing voice im jelous of this guy

  • id love to have the complete concert, does any one now how can i get it?

  • There is a guy on ebay selling it for £8.00. I cannot say how good the quality is though. I am tempted to buy a copy myself.

  • they look so young...

  • Does anyone else find this guitar solo to be the most aggressive of Gilmour's?

  • No...I'd have to give that title to the one in "Pigs"

  • You mean the guitar solo in Pigs? I shall listen to it and I will compare.

  • its just... beautiful i mean the attack of the last solo... wow

  • idk there are plenty of parts of the comfortably numb solo that are more aggresive than most of his solos.

  • The Floyd is my favorite band, but my only bone with them is that they came up with some of the catchiest melodies, but did not make their songs extensive---they're too short. However, that's how the songs of concept albums often are, oohhhh baby blue.

  • Yeah, especially Echoes. That song is way too short.

  • Thank you for this vid, just awsome.

  • the best ever!

  • Piper at the Gates of Dawn was just as amazing!

  • and the sky may look blue...

  • a perfect song

  • best band of all time

  • if i could i would give it 1000 thumbs up

  • no coments

  • story of my live

  • i used to not even notice that it was two different voices!

  • theres alot of songs you can really differentiate them in

  • Which one is Rick Wright? The guy with the hawaian shirt or the guy with the white one?

  • Rick Wright is the guy at the piano

  • There are two guys at the piano...

  • He is the one with a suit-lookking shirt and White large collar

  • Thank you, finally somebody understood my question! I know who Rick Wright is, I just couldn't recognize him in the video!

  • Hahaha, No problem :P

  • Rick appears at 00:20 in the clip. May he rest in peace.

  • @floydgenesisnut yes my friend i agree R.I.P.
