@bobdavis321 thats good to hear, im 16 and ive applied to 15 different places and they all shot me down. ive gone back to my mma gym and ive decided to make money fighting because im tired of geting denied a job.
I concur about electronic sending of the resume, some sites are automated so they won't allow you to just quickly expedite the process. As well, I use Craig's List and a few options that let you host your resume in the open for prospects, but the emails I got back were mostly suspect themselves, they seemed out of touch with the area I reside and my real background!
I've run out of the extension benefits, even with the last congress hold up and extension they did March 2nd, I'm excluded from. I get $25 a week and that's it, for 4 weeks now, I could be evicted next month for all I know, it's scary and difficult, and I wish they'd come up with something better then mandatory health care for me, I can't afford it or use it...at the moment
If you can manage a $300 sale a week, you're doing fairly well, which is what I liked about eBay and Craigslist but there's just so much spam and phishing it seems, if not out right theft.
I tried Twitter, but I never really go there. I worked Construction and just recently hit my boss up for help, he can't really get me hired anywhere though, everyone left the construction field!
I know how you feel about relatives not understanding... everyone in my family (excluding my grandfather) does not understand one word I say about my hobbies... and I'm only 15... it's kinda pathetic when your son knows more...
the anti virus you mentioned, are more of a friendly-user "lets sell as much as we can" type. They have the good versions that are for servers that are extremely effective but really pricey. There are other Anti-virus softwares out there far better. I believe a NOD32 or Bitdefender would do the trick for cheap.
hey bob, I have seen your washer launcher videos and that led me to your unemployment video. I enjoyed them both. Good luck with the job search. It seems like you really enjoy your field. Back in college I choose a field that I really did not have an interest in but was assured job security. Now I get to keep my job but dont really love going to work. Oh well. Best of luck and keep up the projects!
Good luck on the job search! Sorry to hear you're out of work, BUT good to hear you are working on a new WASHER LAUNCHER!!! When do u think it will be ready for prime time?
I have not figured out how to switch 2400 volts yet. If you want to donate a HV switch then maybe I could get it working? I might just try a screwdriver?
@bobdavis321 I think you need what they call Switching Spark Gap. I'm building a capacitor bank too. trying to build a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator for depression. From Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Here's an Idea for you. Converting some of those Coil Launchers into A Magnetic Pulse Health Device,as I have seen Elsewhere on youtube. And sell them on ebay.
from What i Have observed, I think the principal is Still the
same. meaning the eddy Current effect. I would Buy one.
I have seen the schematics of some of those devices and they are missing the power transformer and hence they are electrically dangerous. On the other hand my neck and my left foot were 'beyond hope' at one time but now they work fine. ;-)

Hey I finally got it to work without the black area surrounding it. The secret with Video Studio 10 is to select 16:9 DVD as the format to use.
