The Scots have a long earned reputation as fierce warriors. The Romans knew it and later so did the Norwegians, the Danes and everyone else who came to conquer. My own family history traces its roots on my Father's side to the MacFarlanes, one of the Highland clans. I heard tell of great deeds and men bigger than life since I was knee high. I knew my Father to be a proud, brave man. It gives me a great sense of pride to think that I and my brothers came from such men. Alba gu Brath!

my grandad is from norhtern ireland and for part of the war was a dispatch rider. He was delivering a message to a scots regiment when germans attacked and the scits charged with baynots and my grandad did too. He said the germans ran so fast they couldnt even catch them!

I don't know where CannabaiForMen gets his data from, as separate figures for Gross Domestic Product for individual parts of Britain are not published (Except in the pretend figures the SNP give). The income from North Sea oil and gas could well be claimed by Norway, Denmark, Holland and Belgium as well as Scotland or England. The income from this resource benfited the whole of the UK, enabling us to be a service oriented nation as our manufacturing base declined.

The Scots have a long earned reputation as fierce warriors. The Romans knew it and later so did the Norwegians, the Danes and everyone else who came to conquer. My own family history traces its roots on my Father's side to the MacFarlanes, one of the Highland clans. I heard tell of great deeds and men bigger than life since I was knee high. I knew my Father to be a proud, brave man. It gives me a great sense of pride to think that I and my brothers came from such men. Alba gu Brath!

I grew up hearing stories of how fearsome Scotsmen fight and why the Germans called them "ladies from hell". If I were a man I would be afraid to pick a fight with one of these men. But luckily I'm just a wee lass of 4'10" so instead I just fantasize of brawny Scotsmen in the kilt. More specifically my husband! :-)

@happy04346 well, a name doesn't make you something, your culture, your ethics, values and history makes you what you are, and the kilt has been around since people wore clothes, clothing protects from the elements, the most needed protection was for a man's goods, think of it as a jock strap against the cold, and yes its manly as fuck when you shatter entire armies while wearing a kilt, keep in mind up until the 1900s the word "pants" was a dirty word.

my grandad is from norhtern ireland and for part of the war was a dispatch rider. He was delivering a message to a scots regiment when germans attacked and the scits charged with baynots and my grandad did too. He said the germans ran so fast they couldnt even catch them!
