Only thing I didn't like about MGS 2 was Rose's constant chatter about what day tomorrow is. The relationship of the two characters is nice, it just comes off sappy. Eva and snake in MGS 3 was better IMO. MGS 2 otherwise is a good game, especially near the end.

This playthrough is EVERYTHING that is wrong with dsp these days.The quality of his content has nose dived ever since he lost his job.He just speed plays through everything.There is no care or attention whatsoever to anything he plays anymore.Compare this travesty to his fantastic playthroughs back in 2009. Utterly dire.

@KllopZ he rushes to basically play the next game and be ready for each week's new releases. Like for this week, he needs to rush through MGS3 to get to the FF13-2 playthrough next week, then rush through that to get to the following week's new releases and so on.

It is absolutely amazing to me how bad Phil is at this game. Almost sad. from the very beginning when he couldn't figure out how to use rations to the absurd way he runs through a stealth based game. Not being able to aim, wishing there was auto-aim, not learning the control mechanics, not knowing how to choke not throw, USING THE FUCKING BOX TO HIDE!!! Jesus, I really wanted him to enjoy this game. Too bad he wasted all his time and quarters learning cross ups on SFII Turbo Champ Ed. Go DSP!

DSP's problem is that e is trying to speed play the game instead actually master the mechanics. The mechanics of the gun play is gear toward stealth. This is not a FPS game, it is a stealth game.

MGS2 is easier then MGS1. I never beat MGS1 but I beat MGS2 through MGS4 with MGS3 still being my favorite.

This is definitely the worst MGS of the Solid series, but still has some good gameplay... when it lets you play.

Man, how overrated it was, receiving perfect 10s in reviews for nothing. Yeah, using Raiden instead of Snake, the stupid relationship between Jack and Rose, the game jumping the shark near the end, long boring cutscenes, awkward controls, fat bomber maniac in skates... but, but-! METAL GEAR SOLID 2! ON PS2! WOW! GOTY!

i really like this game i love how phil plays but when he is doing the hateful truth he better not bash the game because of him not knowing how to play stealth but im enjoying it can't wait for mgs3 playthrough :D

I don't know what you hate about the hero, I think it was fun to watch a computer soldier trying to be the hero. And the gameplay didn't need too much improvement

@noobtubephails woah, what's to hate about Raiden. I actually think Raiden was better than Solid Snake due to his personality to question authority. A plot that didn't make sense until the end? lol that's what ending are for. To wrap up plot lines and make sense to them. Oh, and the game was released in 2001, the same year the PS2 released (or a year later). Most games back then were barely improving from their PS counterparts, case in point Star Fox 64.
