You riders did a great job. I wouldn't want to be on a bucking horse in an English saddle. The demonstration of balance staying on th ose bucking horses is impressive!
i no this sounds wrong but the part when the lady was holding up the plastic above her head and the horse freaked, i found hilarious! like not becuase of the situation but the way the horse went about expressing himself with the crazy canter rear motion. XD i no im bad >.< i really hope she wasnt hurt tho! it looked like he ran her into the wall almost!
@iloveandhugemyhorse When done wrong, yes!! for sure! i have heard about maaaany horses who were lame for life because of some numscull who jumped the horse waaay too young - but there have been maany horses who jump well into their teens because precautions were made -- some horses like it, some horses don't. Do you really think all those olympic jumpers hate it? they WOULD NOT go over it if they didnt like it - horses are alot bigger than humans
@iloveandhugemyhorse actually horses love to jump. if you jump them wrong then yes they could turn up lame but if you take percautions and do it correctly there is a slight chance of lameness. Horses love to work, they want to have a "job" my horse looovvvessss to jump i mean will do it while free lunging. the only reason that horse refused that jump was because either the rider didn't give too much leg or he wasn't straight to the jump. common mistake happens to us all...
Horses don't just react for no reason. There is always a reason for a horse to do a certain thing, whether it is scared, in pain, had a bad experience, doesn't trust people, or a certain person. To just say it just freaked out means that person is inexperienced to look at the reasoning behind why it reacted that way. It is up to us to listen to how the horse tells us the way it feels.
I see that others have voiced what I am about to say, but here goes: First off, the horses pictured are acting very much in line with their nature. A horse will panic and flee what it doesn't understand. In nature the most paranoid horse gets to live the longest.
1:02 in particular points this out, I would guess the horse is experiencing the saddle for the first time. It bucks and stomps and throws itself around.
Teaching a horse this way is like throwing a child who can't swim into water over their head. The horse that doesn't understand what it is being subjected to suspects he is going to die, be killed, and eaten, and that he has to whatever it takes to escape. Understanding the nature of the horse will help that horse to overcome what it is being subjected to, trained, asked to perform. A child is no different. You can't ask more of them than their maturity level allows for, and use their
own nature to teach them is the best way for them to learn. I know you mentioned that you aren't in the video, and I am not aiming my replies at you as the poster, far to the contrary. My post is for others who view horses as stupid, and end up denying themselves the wonderful relationship that they could have otherwise found with their horse.
I believe I said that is why I said, "I would guess the horse is experiencing the saddle for the first time". I have personally owned over sixty horses, but I am still amazed by their behavior from time to time.
Exactly! Some horses even buck for fun. I've seen horses get so excited they give a a few jubilant bucks...with or without a rider on their back. So bucking doesn't always mean the horse is upset or angry and certainly doesn't mean their vicious...Vicious horse...sounds kinda funny
that rider at 1.26 looks like theyre havin a great ride =O wish id got a video of when a riding school pony went bronco with me, was amazing, i stayed on 40m up the long side then he spun round n i landed on my thumb, haha
That was the whole point, I bet they were training the horse for a parade or something and they need him to know it wont hurt him, but entually he dropped i lol
0:56 LOL that's exactly what happened to me only she spun round and broke two of my fingers haha!! i thought it was funny and got back on - i was in shock haha!!

all animals get over exited sometimes, just cause horsesdo buck , or bolt dosnt meen they r bad in any way. I think dogs are more vicious than horses
BeauandFred 2 years ago
thats right. horses are flight animals, so they dont intentionally try to hurt you. dogs will attack you...
