I can see how you wouldn't know to dismember them. They didn't really tell you like they did in the last game. The developers just kind of assumed you played the last one, which is a pretty arrogant assumption. However, in their defense, I think it specifies means of dismemberment in the game description. Plus, if you're not looking into this game by now, you've been under a rock for the past couple of months.

I too got up early to download this demo. It's really impressive. I like the tweaks and refinements already for Dead Space 2. It fixes the issues of the first game like Issacs melee attack, it has impact and is more focused. As well as his melee stomp. The camera is really smooth and a little quicker on turning, but not too much. EA really seems to have paced this game out very well, disturbingly well mind you. But January 25th cannot come quick enough, such an epic game.

ok....one complaint. the laser sights on the weapons. plasma cutter is the one I noticed, but it may be all of them. none of the laser sights interact with the enviroment like they did in the last game. it's just a static 3 dots. they don't even become wider as the distance closes in, and aim next to a wall and somehow the laser dots are off to the right not even near the end of the gun. this really kills the immersion for me.
