Let me say all the worries with burn in do not get a plasma tv. I hate it. I have to use some sort of screen wash program that gets rid of burned in stuff but it doesn't always work the first time. It is nerve wracking. Seriously if you want 3D without the worry get an LED set. As for LCD and 3D what you get from that isn't really 3D at all so don't bother with 3D LCD tvs.
