  • You are wrong! The chords are b7, e, and a

  • I love you dude!!! <3 we love you! thanks

  • These are the right chords although they are not in the key of the Beatles song, which is lower than this one. These chords are perfect for someone who want to sing in a higher tone.

    Great video, awesome job

  • Great lesson People are jumping on you for wrong cords you are just trying to help us beginners. Makes use fell good to play a simple song thanks.

  • Thanks LuthDrix I can't stop watching the video and can you make a tutorial of basic strumming to yellow submarine oh yeah and guys stop picking on him will you you got something nasty to say don't say it

  • Your lesson was great I played and sang to my family to thanks can you make one of basic strumming to yellow submarine

  • wrong chords mate, if your going to give a beatles lesson get it right at least , shit dont dis the Beatles

  • the song actually starts on F...not A.

  • the song actually starts on F...not A. it goes F, C, C, F...Bb, F, C, F

  • @sevensdad777 F C C7 F Bb F C F

  • Omg FINALLY someone that can teach... all these tutorials make you do a bunch of stuff and you cant follow along THANKS Luthdrix your a great teacher!!

  • These are clearly wrong.

  • thank you!!!

  • I've spent about 2 hours trying to learn off other youtube videos - which all contained barre cords that I can't do - and then I found this and I learnt it in 3 minutes. Thankyou!

  • Thanks a ton!

I picked up the chords online, but when I tried to play... It vaguely reminded me of the song, but thanks to you I'm starting to learn! Thanks for the vid and keep up the great work!

  • thanks this helped a ton!!

  • i love what you are doing mr!

would be easy to put the 7th in on the first E to though!!

    keep up the good work

  • This is what was in my book too, but I wasn't sure on the strumming, so thanks :D

  • This is a different key. 3 star.

  • Thank You so so much!! Best video on Youtube!!! :)

Do you mind teaching the slow verses as well?? Thank You!!!!

  • tank you man !! (:

    realy good !!

  • Thanx you made it really easy for this beginner. Now I have to learn the lyrics and to sing :)

  • Haha, amazing :D

  • i like it, it's easy and it sounds like the song =D thanks!!

  • If you're saying that these aren't the "right" chords then you know nothing about music. These chords are not wrong, they're just different. This guy isn't claiming that these are the exact chords played on the original recording of Hey Jude.

  • doesn't really matter what its officially in. This way is easier to play. Thanks man.

  • what's the accords ?

  • the offfical beatles chord book says E-B7-E-A-E-B7 then the outro iS E-D-A-D-E

  • Just taken up guitar lessons and that is how I have been practicing with those chords but I like how this guys does it, he does makes it simple. I find B7 a bit of a fiddle to get the hang of but I will get the hang of it in the end.

  • man that actual looks easy. i want to learn this song badly.

  • thanks!!

  • Man, what's with the hatin' because the guy is playing in the key of A? Any song can be transposed to any key, typically to suit a singer's range - in this case, A-D-E (I-IV-V) is, as the OP said, geared toward a beginner. If you want to add the dominant 7th, play E7 at the appropriate point. Add the minor 2nd (Bm) and you're good to go. In short - the progression is correct...there is no "wrong" chord. (Yes, the G-C-D-D7 (Am) would be right, too).

Thanks for taking the time to make the vid.

  • Everyone who's saying it's in F major is right. I play the song on the piano and I've played the song while having the actual version playing in the background so I know that for a fact. The way I know it is F C Gm Gm7 F Bb F C7 F. And that's just for the first verse. Again, that's for the piano, but yeah. Not the right chords.

  • wow this is total bush league man.

  • wtf. what's the real chords of the song?! anyone has his own chords of the song. but which is real?!

  • beats me- i thought it was G, D, and C! I just started playing and thats the simplist!

  • NO ALL OF YEAH ITS IN F MAJOR

  • i thought it was D A A7 D G D A D

  • Yeap, sorry, wrong chord buddy. It starts on F, to C, to C7 to B flat.

  • theirs other ways to play it aswell

  • I think that's it. It's what they had in another video. You should be able to see part four of that lesson in the related videos to your right.

  • Wrong chords. It's in F.

  • i play but am sending your videos to a friend who just got her first guitar you are a very great one to learn from as she lives away from me to help her thankyou !

  • I don't mean to be a hater here, but this didn't help me that much. It was a well put-together video and lesson but I feel like the chords don't match very well with the actual song.

    Try: F, C, and B flat

  • Hey, tahnk you soo much for such a simplistic but beautiful way to learn how to play Hey Jude.

I never knew I could even play guitar, but after having watched and practising what you played in this video I not only have the confidence but a slight belief in myself in accoustic ways.

Could you please show us all how to play the rest of the song.Thank you so much

  • thanks, nice and easy just the way i like, but if anyone knows a harder version let me know!

  • I thought it went D A A7 D G A7 D.

  • isnt there a b7??

  • umm, thank you sooo much!! lol This is just up to my speed for now!!

  • even tho that is really easy, i could nvr quite figure out the patern, lol. thank u

  • can u teach the rest of the song pls?

i just got a guitar yesterday and i can already play wat u just taught!

  • this was amazing. Thank you so much. Im officially stressed to the point of no return and for my first night picking up a guitar to unwind or at least learn how to... i owe you amillion thanks. I would have probably lost myself if it wasnt for this video.

  • thank you so much! I just started and this song is perfect for me to play and I'm able to play it. And you are a very good teacher, not too fast or too slow. I think the chrods go great with the song!!! thanks.

  • this was great strumming is the hardest part of guitar for me and this video really helped me out man! Peace!

  • hey thank you so much.

its simple, its easy to play, but it still sounds great (to a beginner anyway).

    thanks.

  • hey-i'm just learning to play and your videos are by far the easiest for me to follow-you are a good teacher. I have been looking to try to play the rest of the song but I don't know where to find the music. Can you let me know maybe where I can find it?

  • You can probably find a full version online by googling it. My version here is just an exercise so if you look online it may be in a different key.

  • Actually I have been playing for about 15 years. And the reason I chose these chords is because they are easy for beginners to play. Sometimes as a teacher you have to make the sacrifice and chose chords that aren't necessarily the exact chords/correct key for the song, so that your student can play it.

  • ok guy if you just started to play guitar dont attempt teaching it

-the chords are way off noone take advise from this

  • Also if you are paying attention you would see that the lesson is titled "Basic Strumming". This is a lesson aimed at beginners. Not picky intermediate players.

  • great your a big help , i,m just starting out , thanks

  • good

  • thanks for doing this. it's useful for newbies like me

  • great job

  • thank you:)

  • hey dude i play it with an F then C then C7 then an F. But i'll try your style

  • Yeah you may be right on the key. I just found that these chords are easy for beginner beginners. Thanks for checkin' it out though.
