@KxbTV na its not. the suns light REFRACTS AROUND the earth cuz of the earths atmosphere. the red light from the spectrum is the ony ligt that reaches the moon so it looks red :)

@noiseonlyplease Yes, you get terrible eye damage from staring at a solar eclipse. However, this is a lunar eclipse. They have special glasses to wear if you want to witness a solar eclipse. Hope this helps.

It turns red because light from the sun refracts through the earths atmosphere. Red light refracts the least so it does not bend out much from the sun to the moon, making it red.
