QUESTO DUETTO MI FA SENTIRE MALE....TROPPO INTENSO...STRAORDINARIA LA DESSAY! NON CI SONO PAROLE!

I love this pair! Villazon and Dessay in this production, great!! I must say that despite many people say, Villazon, is a wonderful singer - actor, his latin temperment, and that voice with sensual tone, gives him the opportunities to make incredible phrases. He´s a good actor, he riskes himself in every performance, a good artist. Of course is a young tenor and he will continue practicing and his voice will ge better and better.

Remember, when a singer sings with raw emotion. disregarding his technic, he sings with the CAPITAL and not the INTEREST!! Alfredo Krauss and others stated that, why did Domingo not advise any better?

I was there too for two performances and they were both fantastic so involved in music and acting .Absolutly unforgettable and so difficult to jugde on clips even on dvd .The whole production was really good.Great moments .

Lui è davvero vuoto... Villazon non interpreta...gigioneggia...nel­la più bieca tradizione di marca verista (o di certa Italietta di provincia) per cui il tenore è MASCHIO e per questo può tutto..anche cantare male..l'importante è che abbia una voce GROSSA GROSSA...ma, come al solito, chi ostenta è proprio colui che in realtà non ha granchè in realtà

Povera Nathalie!!! Cantare insieme alla sua antitesi... Lei è meravigliosa...Che intensità di accento...che morbidezza... che drammaticità mai sopra le righe!!! (In questa scena Manon chiede perdono innazitutto a sè stessa... è un dialogo con sè stessa!!!).

I was on the premiere in Liceu. Dessay was ill and Villazón sung horrible, bad voice, bad french(hear how he sings "moi mème")and bad taste singing and acting. Here in the clip sounds better ( micro of tv) but live in the theater was the cruel reality. Very far of excellent.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, then. I also attended the premiere and I thought both Dessay and Villazón were great, even if he did have some voice problems. I enjoyed every single minute of it.

Villazon and Dessay they are a great pair, but with netrebko it removes to him but tipsy to this wonderful Opera!!
