I had a 02 grand am with a 15 inch Kicker L7 in a sealed box facing out towards the trunk running off of a 1000 watt kicker class D mono and it seems to me I had way more slap.

I pushed the 6 x 9's I had in the back deck all the way out of the trunk, broke the clips on the plastic and everything.

I got rid of it with the car and I want another system, Im happy with kicker, but I want to switch to something else.

@H3Ml Fi audio is one of the best, but like in everything you get what you pay for 12" BL subs run around $280 a piece. If you want great sound from subs that will take a beating for years, you need to spend some money so you wont be buying more than one set. just blew two $100 Earthquake 12"s. I learned my lesson the hard way

The highest I hit was 165.5 DB's That was in the DB drag bass off. They have the tightest mics. The 165.5 I hit wasn't in outlaw-doors open. I did it in sealed-doors closed.

@thatcommonsenseguy ??? what the hell are you talking about man ?? yes you can you basically take the cone, spyders, and coil out as one assembly and then you take the bolts that hold the basket to the magnet. then after you have the magnet by itself you order a recone kit from fi (what ever size you like) and just be sure to click the "yes" feature for the basket. and put it all back together i have done it with both of these subs dont comment if you dont know... thats commonsense lol

nice system man Fi is great. For a new headunit look at pioneer (I saw you askin for suggestions). If you put 2 more big batts in the trunk your voltage would be better also I saw it dip to 11.6v. Just think if you had the voltage up, you would be hittin a tad more on tl.

Is that db-electrical alt that great? I have known about them for awhile but not many people run them but they are very affordable.

@imupabove DB ELECTRIC IS A JOKE the first time i got my alternator i installed it to find that it was broken from the factory so i paid out of my own pocket to have a new one shipped to me after shipping the old one back and guess what??? same damn thing happened i went through 2 db alts in 2 months the time in between i have been runing a 125 amp alt which has lasted over 1 1/2 years just sad I DO NOT RECOMMEND DB ELECTRIC TO ANYONE

so i can run both kicker zx1500.1s on one bass knob and its got a burb switch on it too. plus a light that shows if the amps r getting hot or are clipping=) also adds about 400 watts rms between the amps believe it or not
