Funny, I thought the real Master goosebumps moments for me where in LooTT and maybe Survival. But in this video the short scene at 2.00 gives me chills.
Yes, Terrance Dicks did just that, although even as a different character, the War Chief still managed to use an alias which was just his name translated into the local language, and tried to transfer his mind into the Doctor's body, both staple Master tactics throughout the years. :) The characters are still so similar this has not stopped fans from finding ways around this point, and still making the War Chief the Master. Plus, there is the question if the books are canon, but I think so! :)
I appreciate that there are different opinions on this subject, but as I state in my description, there is a theory which exists that Brayshaw's character is the Master, to which I agree. If the writers and producers are coming into question, then it should be noted that although Rober Holmes most likely had a major hand in the creation of the Master, it was Terrance Dicks, co-writer of the War Games, as script editor at the time who most certainly played a major role. The beard helps too. :)
Also teh master is credit in the mind robber, then the awr games. I love the master, he knows to annoy the doctro dosen't he. Also, if the tenth doctro knew him. How come the first doctor didn't recognize him. LUV IT BYE.
Central, The notion of Brawshaw as the Master is flat out wrong. The War games was produced by Peter Bryant and written by Hulke & Dicks. The Master was created and written by Robert Holmes in a show produced by Barry Letts. The only similarity is the fact we have a Time Lord with a beard against the Doctor. Having him in this video is nonsense.
I quite agree. You might as well say that the Security Chief from the War Games and the Keeper of the Matrix in The Trial of a Time Lord are the same character because they were both played by James Bree!
Although Edward Brayshaw is not offically recognized as the earliest Master, many fans believe him to be such as to, as I hope this video shows, the extreme similarities he shares with the Master (Delgado onwards) and his relationship to the Doctor.
I know nobody's probably posted here in a year, but you should extend this to cover "The End of Time"; it's damned good. :-)

Yes, but didn't Terrance also include the War Chief in "Timewyrm Exodus" and use him as a character completely separate from the Master?

Thank you so much. I really appreciate that and I loved making the video, particularly to promote the War Chief is Master idea. Cool stuff. :)
