@wootness3000 lol, gave it to my sister. She drove it for another 15 to 20k until reverse gave out and thats when it was finally junked. BTW, the odo stopped working at 230k, it probably had close to 300k on it.
@8487023471 Low gear means 1st gear only, it won't upshift. The problem is apparent even when you're driving in 3rd gear, obviously far higher speed and far more dangerous to make a video.
your airbag is screwed up, and you have a light out. check the transmission fluid, and if it's red then you're fine. if it's brown and smells burnt, then you could have a transmission failure at any time.
I have a '92 Camry and I think the transmission is starting to go. Mine will get to 2000 RPM in low gear but I have not seen it go as high as this one.
youre right the car is not shifting, but since its in low gear it shouldnt up-shift once he let off the gas it should stay around 3000 where he let off, i think. at least thats what my truck does, if i drop it into 2nd it will stay in 2nd his car isnt
My first car was a camry and it took the hard driving abuse a 16 year old would do to a car by the way mine had 191,256 miles on it when my brother rolled it good car. better than my Jetta TdI
My 04 Toyota Camry is still covered by an extended warranty and LAWRENCE TOYOTA refused to repair my steering wheel that vibrates, shakes entire vehicle, they refused to repair the noise coming from the steering wheel as well. The mechanic and the adviser lied me to my face and I had to leave the Lawrence Toyota with my steering wheel vibrating and entire car shaking
Camry is the worst car I've ever had in my life. No other car had so many problems like my LEMO Camry that Toyota refuses to repair
My aunt owns 4 Camrys, '92, '97, '02 & an '06. She bought all of these brand new off the lot. But, ONLY her '97 Camry ever gave her problems. It would burn LOTS oil & would cut off on her in city traffic. But none of the others EVER gave her any trouble & she had them all serviced regularly.
Although you've said it, your car is just a lemon & you visited horrible dealership. It's not fair to say Camrys are the worst cars based off just yours. Please take your business elsewhere where they care.
@ToyotaCamryVibration My moms 2004 Camry had a recall done on the steering column, maybe you should check into that? Other things that could cause your car to vibrarte; bent rim, bulge on the tire and bad wheel bearing.
i wasent aware of any major problems that camrys have? THey get atleast 350,000 miles on the origional engine/trans. I have proof if you need it.Have you seen the new camrys? 248 foot lbs or torque and 268 HP to the front wheels. Dont comment on a video if you dont know what your talking about.
Thats Not toyotas fault. Its the dealers. Call toyota corp., in the 1st page of the manual, and report them. Every camry ive had has had no major problems at all.
I called Toyota corporation on May 16,19,20,21,24. They gave me 3 days and name of service manager name from Lawrence toyota to contact yet he avoided me, each day May 19 through May 21 I'd call Corp. Toyota to report the fact that service manager was avoiding me. They only write down your complaint and did nothing. ONly when I complained through BBB I got a technician from Toyota corporation calling me and setting up appointment for today.
So, they are working today on my car. That's a complicated issue again. I'm tired of their tactics. Today they told me it's a tire issue so they will be replacing my tires, but as you know I already had new tires (Bridgestone)installed before which I drove for only 9,000 Miles.
These Bridgestome tires developed some "steps" "bumps" so they are worn in a strange way. I think they are working on my car and obviously are taking at least the entire steering wheel apart if not entire steering system apart to try to repair it properly if possible.
what year?

It's slipping. Rebuild required, but you've probably already figured that out since it's been three years.

Get out of low gear, the L is clearly green on the dash, put it in D and you won't have this problem

correct me if im wrong, but... is your car not shifting because you're in Low? look at the dash, L is lit up/ meaning your in low.

I have Michelins on my Camry, and it feels like it's floating along on a cloud. And it's a '98! My dad had Bridgestones and hated them.

Your torque converter is not locking, you may not be going fast enough for it to lock up.

yah, i would say that your car is fine, you should only worry if it doesnt come out of that gear. it seems fine to me

Yep, it's in low gear and it's not holding revs, does this in every gear except 4th.
