Very good vlog! Even though I don't know who Lawrence Fleischer is but you made me think of I want to be like him in Deaf Studies, ASL program and Deaf education such as to stand up for our values. Thanks!
Dr. Fleischer. I too did not know him well but had seen him at conferences always standing firmly for Deaf rights, natural sign language, Deaf culture, arts & literature etc. I got to know him a wee bit when i went to CSUN and what impressed me so much was: 1. love of family 2. love of the Deaf ASL culture 3. his warm smile and the knowing gleam in his eyes
very nice. Thanks. agree about his type of leadership. we need to study this and build upon this and make it a standard to measure others' leadership from.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Lawrence Fleischer's passing has also impacted Western Oregon University, and there were several colleagues who got very upset, so badly that the division meeting was cut short today.
