No. Obviously they are on the back because he is sponsored by Adidas. The reason they are on the heel though is because he likes to have them there instead of the sides because when he blows past you thats all you will see. And you know that he's got you go look at any interview where and adidas spokesmen is talking about his signature shoes they comment on why the stripes are on the back.
