  • i think its terrible it makes the law just like the killers its terrible just terrible

  • the people should vote on this issue let them decide its them who have to live with the aftermath, these people should not decide for us that is why Europe is in the mess its in because we know best attitude.

  • Another reason NOT to be like Europe. What a bunch of idiots.

  • How quick they'd change their minds if their mother or brother was murdered ...

  • Fk the DP, murder should be 60 years in prison. not 59, not 61, but 60. just 60 years. fucking winnin'

  • I thought Gandhi said an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind

  • In particular a POSSIBILITY od redemption is no were good enough to wast others' tax money to feed dirt bags. Of course forgiveness and atonement would be awesome!! BUT Given the limited resource we have - i say saving the good doers is more importance than giving misguided people second chance. Harsh/mean? Yes. Is it justified? ARGUABLE of course. What do you think???

  • Ok forgiveness is necessary in giving misguided people 2nd chances Also pure vengeance are illogical HOWEVER i believe that atonement is NOT possible for everyone. More importantly what is our goal here? There are a lot of scum bags out there. While fear is NOT a long term or sustainable solution to rid/suppress these dirt bags - it's the quickest way to a version of peace. In the strict deontologist's idea I understand that scum bags can be used as a MEAN to greater good.

  • debate? BWAHAHAHA

  • We understand that we ourselves don't want our live at risk- so we create a society where everyone is protected and have human rights- the price being that you don't go around killing others. When you have killed, you have forfeited your rights. One of the problems with the death penalty, is that it doesn't "fix" the criminal to understand the wrong done (ability to feel empathy, etc), also there's the matter of evidence & how quick we are to make rash judgments- wrongly convicted= OUR fault.

  • @TurboDally You just did it yourself by assuming everyone that's accused of murder is fucked up and needs to be shown how to feel correctly... You just assumed anyone with that case heading is a criminal, so why not start by fixing that inside you. There is no way to make people do what you want by means of brute force, that's why despite the Law, Prisons and Death Penalty's crime still happens. That doesn't mean we should just stop enforcing it. It does serve to deter the not as ambitious.

  • how exactly is this the a debate there is nobody there argueing for the death penalty

  • Its simple.....if a person doesn't respect someone's human rights then that person should not have the privilege of having human rights and should be executed......this world needs less bad people...what is the point of punishing a person that killed someone and letting that person free later so that he can kill someone else...sure its easy go against death penalty when a criminal have not taken away a human being that you really care about

  • I like the way those men think they are so sophisticated then they have the audacity to call this a "debate". There isn't a voice of opposition; it's like a trial where the judge is also the victim, prosecution and prosecution witness- such as in Blackadder Goes Forth. For something I nou doubt paid for with my taxes, I want something more unbiased. It's like a debate on QT about immigration where the panellists are all BNP and the presenter keeps Saying "Niggers are Scum! throw them out".

  • Okay, someone being against the death penalty I could understand; but no life sentences for hardcore murderers. NO WAY!!

  • If the politicians would stop using the death penalty as a tool to get a job, we would have no need for the practice. To all of you who support this practice and says "it happens", I suggest to you that it can happen to you. If we continue to allow this practice, and another innocent person is put to death, I continue to ask if it is later found that person is completely innocent, are you willing to have your life Taken from you?

  • Debate? surely a debate should include the opposition. Typical EU propaganda.

Why don't they execute themselves in protest?

  • This methodology does help global-nationality criminal genome project be soluted, I rate. On-spot economic change(no with climate change) will be mostly beneficial.

  • These guys are so jaded, Death penalty and life sentences are the only thing we need to be honest. Keep the scum behind bars.

  • The Europeans have become more decent then us americans. I see radical muslims on the street protesting and saying the most horrible things and are just disgusting. The europeans walk by and ignore them. they will not sink down to the level of trash. They just walk by with pity for them. The americans would beat them to death in the street. We do things diffrently here. However there is a huge group of liberals now so we are becomeing more hippy. I support the death penalty for extreme cases

  • No killing, abusing, or neglecting/denying each prisoner of access to daily minimum: 3cup veggies, 2cup fruit, 4oz whole grain, 1cup beans, 1.5oznuts, #of calories/height, air quality index 0-50, 8teaspoon toothpaste, floss, healthcare. Sanitation, 5 gallon safe to drink water: heats to 80+degress, cools to 60-, shelter: heats to 68+, cools to 80-, bed, clothes shoes, noise 0-85db

  • OK, these three guys are certainly right in that they are against the death penalty.

However, this is not a "debate"; there is no real opposition. It's rather sort of an interview, and it has been done in a pretty dull way. It looks all very arranged, tame and unpassionate.

  • This isn't a debate. It is dishonest to title this a debate. Shame on the person who posted this! Why do people who want to abolish the DP always have to lie and misrepresent?

  • i got a debate today and this is great to get two sides thanks u

  • There are any number of horrible, useless parasites whom have no use to society, why keep these drain on resources? I have no sympathy for them.

  • @buggerbilly Did you watch the video?

  • The three men on this panel have obviously been indoctrinated from an early age to protect subhumans who have committed crimes for which there is no rational defense.

They dodge the abortion issue with the argument that there is no definitive point where a mass of tissue becomes human, while ignoring that murderers are a mass of tissue masquerading as human.

Being pro death penalty I'd debate any one of these clowns and shred the veil of "high morality" they hide behind.

  • @tripleJ1955 I doubt it

  • Their all idiots. Let them live with the monsters in the prison. Or let the sex offenders live next door to their family.

  • @whisperhopestbls "Their all idiots." **They're. Ah the irony...

  • This is just one side of view instead of a genuine debate between two opposite parties. All we can call this is propaganda for the European point of view..

  • @AwesomeDutchGuy or maybe because it's not a formal debate?

  • This is no debate - it's a bunch of left-wing academics with a left-wing presenter asking leading questions and a few students who want to appear polite.

  • Not a very balanced debate, however, I find it amusing that none of them really answered the question (just avoided it) as to whether they would give Hitler the death penalty.

  • @playa318 If I were to back the man who said no prison over 20 years, I would say that after twenty years, hitler would be released back into society, but with almost no normal rights.

  • Feels like these debate is one sided..

  • I'm curious how the anyone can accurately prove that capital punishment isn't a deterrant. In a state like Texas, if every murderer was let out after 10 years instead of being executed, you damned well know that they would've killed again. That would automatically make the statistics go up. Ridding the world of this scum Automatically is the ultimate deterrent as i've never heard of a man whose been executed coming back to life and repeating the offense. Do they take this into account?

  • @mr420gamer I hope you have the fucking balls to say that to the parents of a 6 year old girl who was gangraped and murdered, or a woman who was handcuffed to her bed after being mutilated and burned alive as her home burnt down around her. Hopefully, the next victim of a hanis crime will be someone within your family if you're that forgiving. Fucking douchebag.

  • @jjrants by ranting and swearing you lose all credibility. It Makes you sound like the crazy guy who hangs out at the street corner with a sign about the end of the world being near.

  • @1020Shane You're on the fucking INTERNET and worried about credibility? Jesus H christ...For starters..... you never answered my question. How many victims families have you contacted and actually vocalized your opinions to?? When you contact one, let me know. THEN, i'll be civil. Until then why don't you actually listening to someone whose been a victim before opening your liberal piehole spewing your vile. (And last I checked, your mom was was working that same street corner. She owes me 50$)

  • @jjrants Maybe you should double up on your medication. I never said I opposed capital punishment. I said you made a huge ass of yourself trying to defend it by ranting like a jackass. If you want to truly have a discussion about issues you must stick to the point and not resort to fallacy. I am guessing you never steeped inside of a university or less a public library. Have fun making minimum wage the rest of your life chappy.

  • @1020Shane What's the matter? Are you too much of a coward to admit that you've never actually SPOKEN to a familys victim?? Hmmmm?? (And FYI, I was commenting to someone else before you chose to address my "grammar").

By the way... i'm retired. You're right on one thing though.... I've never stepped foot inside a university because I didn't have mommy and daddy wipe my ass financially. I build and sell food service corporations for a living & you couldn't AFFORD to dine at one of my houses.

  • If you do something so bad that they consider you getting the death penalty U should probably get the death penalty

  • this is not a debate at all, it is a discussion. there are no challengers to the panel views and is one sided.

  • @mr420gamer SO if someone tortured, raped, murdered yr child/family or loved one u reckon ud say 10 years max for that person was a fair deal yeah?? People like u are as sick as these murderers themselves

  • OMG- FOR PRETENDING TO BE SO ENLIGHTEN THEY ARE SO STUPID. LIFE BEGINS AT CONCEPTION BY DEFINITION, EVEN THIS REDNECK KNOWS THAT. WHAT MORONS. SIMPLE REALLY. YOUR EITHER PREGNANT OR NOT PREGNANT. THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN. GOOD GRIEF. AND DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS.

  • Comment removed

  • OH, AND THE WHOLE "EYE FOR AN EYE MAKES THE WORLD BLIND' SOUNDS GREAT BUT DOESN'T MEAN SHIT IN REALITY. ASK THE VICTIMS OF CRIME. THESE IDIOTS ARE ALREADY BLIND. LOL. AS I SAID, DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT DETERRENCE NOR DO I GIVE A SHIT ABOUT COST. JUSTICE IS PRICELESS.

  • RIDICULOUS. FUNNY. THESE PEOPLE CAN NOT BE SERIOUS. DEATH PENALTY=PUNISHMENT. DEATH PENALTY=JUSTICE. SIMPLE REALLY. DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT DETERRENCE. IF YOU DO THE CRIME-DO THE TIME. COWBOY UP & TAKE YOUR MEDICINE. AND WHAT ABOUT THE VICTIMS? 20 YEARS MAX? WTF? THESE IDIOTS SHOULD FOCUS ON ENDING THE BARBARIC ACTS OF THUGS AND GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY OF JUSTICE. GEE WHIZ! LORD HELP US!

  • I may be against capital punishment but I'm highly in favor of life sentences without the possibility of parole in cases like murder, rape, and child molestation.

It's way too lenient to allow murders, rapists, etc. to be released from prison. 20 years of imprisonment is really soft on those type of violent criminals.

  • @mr420gamer ok so how about murders pedos etc live with you when they get out of prison make you responsible for there actions so when they reoffend you go to prison as an excessery

  • the death penalty should be given to murders pedos and rapists no excuses do the crime do the time

  • How come that whole gandi panel was against the death penalty? (bunch of pacifist freaks) and besides by not executing our worst criminals (murders, rapists, pedophiles, traitors, terrorists) we are saying that the lives of their victims meant nothing.

  • Death Penalty is nesesary, first to send a message for the society, second, because the criminals who do not show remorse and never rehabilitate by imprisonment, third , there are a big pile of murderers who commit the most horrific crimes against child and women, I believe that the laws have to be review, in especial for certain percentage of inocents who where executed, and in wich sentences where defined in short time, and no deep investigations where shown.

  • Is this even a debate....it seems like everyone pretty much agrees with one another. I think there are times when the death penalty is appropriate just like I think that there are times when abortion is appropriate. In 99.9% of cases the death penalty is not necessary but I do feel that there is a time and a place for it.

  • mr.petrovec says he's against the death penalty, life imprisonment, & and any term of prison longer than 20 yrs...What would the world be like if this mans' opinion were to manifest. all killers who were on life, death & over 20yrs released. That's foolish talk. The death penalty is essential & just

  • @ganzocribo the death penalty is pointless

  • @ganzocribo: I think that men should be killed for CERTAIN things, not all cases?

  • Who wants to pay for those assholes to stay in jail all day. Most people have to work their whole lives just to get a decent standard of living. I dont care if it stops people or not as long as we dont have to pay for those barstards to sit there laughing at us as we slog away working every day. They deserve the death penalty- they earnt their ticket. These academics can get fucked. they deserve justice. Some of them are real cunts that should be tortured as well

  • @toddviv it costs more money to kill them then it does to keep them in jail for life

  • Well done! I agree that public opinion should not have any say when it comes to capital punishment.

  • They should execute murderers how the murderer killed their victim.

  • @Patriot3332 then they became murderers as well, so ... who should kill them?

  • anybody who is any sort of christian would say an eye for an eye. there is the saying that if everything was an eye for an eye, the whole world would be blind. but if the whole world was blind, nobody would know who to hurt. colonies in america were formed because of religeous persecution in europe. you did not allow our ancestors to practice religion freely. we can now do that here, and it works just fine. so we have no reason to abolish the death penalty.

  • @foot60ba are you christhian? read something about moisses then

  • @alsamuef i am going to have to agree to disagree with you on this subject.

  • What a bunch of fruit cakes!

  • the sec speakr dislikes pnisment in jail exceeding 20 yrs? if i were the government of THW banned death penalty i would say.....policy = a lifetime in prison....

  • so hypothetically, according to these experts hitler, would have benefitted from a less than whole of lifetime sentence. how "civilised"! 20 years in a nice cell for 11-17 million deaths - seems fair to me. LOL.

  • So yes, I my be a pussy, but I'm also sane in my judgement.

  • All these evil human rights cunt just want to protect the criminal what abou the victims you clueless, ignorant fucking idiots!! what if somone murdered your family????

  • What the hell is with these comments.

How can these people take human life so lightly?

Taking a human life simply for revenge are not justice, it is barbaric.

so call me a pussy if you think so, but atleast I believe that a life has some worth.

  • @ANamelessGuy Ok namelessguy tell me what would you want to see done to someone who raped and murdered your family, a maximum sentence of 20 years?? then released back in the community to live a happy care free life. You are sick and disturbed if you think that is justice. There has to be consequences for your actions. You take a life in cold blood you forfeit your own its not revenge IT IS JUSTICE when will thick idiots like you wake up!

  • @whorelix

It would be quite paranoid to constantly live in the world of "what if."

If such a tragedy would strike me, then ofcourse I would be overwhelmed by emotions, which is why if I where put in such a state I would never be alowed to be the judge of the criminals who inflicted me pain.

  • @whorelix

your logic is somewhat like "they are killers and thats that, let them die." but in the modern day reseach in psychologi we have learned that most people who become killers in that caliber aren't just simple assholes but have a mental disorder that we might prevent in the future if we learn from them and what goes through there head and why when they act as they do.

  • @ANamelessGuy ...Even if it made ONE murder think 'If I carry out this crime I could forfeit my life' it might make them think again or if you had your way they would think 'If I carry out this crime the worst thing to happen to me will be a maximum term of 20 years in jail. What do YOU think is the greater deterrent. I apologise for my spelling but this is subject I am very passionate on and do get worked up easily.

  • @whorelix

Death penalty cant reduce murders, people don't think like that. Murders never think what will hapen if they are caught, neither does any criminal, they either think "I wont get caught" or they don't think of the possibility at all, it's not a matter of punishment that stops the criminal, it is preparation that stops the crime.

  • @ANamelessGuy asshole, Ronnie lee gardner will be executed by firing squad in Utah shortly, Good Riddance

  • @jers59 I am glad he did. I am Singaporean and i support the death penalty. The only thing to improve in USA is execute faster and dont let those scumbags appeal and appeal. In singapore, our death row is two or three years, not ten years.

  • @jonathansee took 25 years to execute gardner thats 24 years to long

  • @whorelix

And about justice/karma. It's true that killing the killers ironic "justice", but so is killing the hunters, livestock holders and every meateater for food, and i don't think anyone sane would believe in such a law should be passed.

  • @ANamelessGuy Listen, there are some crimes that are so dispicable that the ONLY response a society can have has to be the death penalty. YES of course I dont agree with killing everyone convicted of murder but pre-mediatated, planned murder of an innocent person has to be met with a stronf response by a civilised society..to be cont...

  • @whorelix

I agree that there is something wrong in the head on people who do such deeds, but I still see them as humans, if we stop just seeing them as vermin to kill we might learn a way to put even murders back in to our streets without fear that they will kill everyone around them.

  • @ANamelessGuy ...Society has to be shown to protect the law abiding, I beleive if you have murdered a child or has killed more than one person the only respnse has to be the death penalty. The problem with society today is quite simply people are not being held to account for their actions, they have to be. The death penalty must remain. A detterent? maybe not but just think.....cont

  • @whorelix

years in prison may not seem like a long time if your not the one experiencing it, it gives prisoners a hope in life if they know that if they don't fuck up in prison then they will become free again, where serving lifetime will rob them of that hope and they tend to not care about consequences. Sure there are people who surely will go free, but thats due to the "justice" of the law, for eksample that stealing a certain value will earn you a certain punishment.

  • @ANamelessGuy You sound like your defending criminal all the time. 20 years for taking a persons life and taking the lives of the families left behind IS NOT JUSTICE We as a society have to show that pre-meditated murder of an innocent person is wrong! You Kill someone in cold blood, you have forfeited your human right to live. what if they kill someone in prison who may have just been there on a robbery crime??...cont

  • @ANamelessGuy ..By removing the death penalty for sadistic murder (not accidental or manslaughter!) you are almost saying their actions are ok ,and we'll look after you, rehabilitate you and in 20 years you will be free. Do you actually consider the victim or families at all?? or the fact he could kill again after the 20 years? Quite simply the death penalty however harsh it may seem is justice and it protect the public as it removes the possiblity the murderer will kill again.

  • @whorelix

I don't know what you are on about now, I've just said that the reason that people get easy punishment "in your opinion" are due to an fair law that says everyone should be treated equal for the same crime.

  • @whorelix

I say that we should help them get back as produktive members of society, even if it take 20, 40 or 50 years and learn how and use that knowledge to help others.

Plus, to consider victims and families is to make it an act of vengeance, no mather how horrific the act is, court and law should only look at how they should isolate that man from society.

and please don't run in circles as i have already talked about most of your points.

  • @ANamelessGuy @ANamelessGuy Do you honestly believe men who rape and murder children can ever be made 'productive members of society' Do you have any idea what the families of victims would say to you?

  • @whorelix

Don't think I dont understand how you feel. I know how you can think injustice has been peformed and something should be done, but when nothing can be done other than to prevent the killer to kill again.

But I dont think you know how I think about this, maybe my opinion is too cold.

  • @whorelix

What i dislike is not the penalty, but your excuses for it. You say sympathy for the victims should lead to revenge done in there name and in the the name of justice, I don't see it like that. As I wrote in my earlier comment we dont put people in jail to punish them, we as a society should not be so apathetic, we isolate them to prevent them from doing more damage while we rehabilitate them.

  • @whorelix

Do you want loons(like child murderer/rapist) to just die with no questions, or do you want to know what make them so? My guess is that you are scared of what you may find if you look deep in the human mind, espesially the minds of the mentally ill.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't think the problem is with the threat to the families, but that you see my point of view as letting the people believe there is no punishment, and I see your point as paranoia hidden behind sympathy.

  • @whorelix

If you could give me a reason to join the pro-death penalty circle, please don't hold back, but if all you can say is "please think of the children." I wont waste any more time on this.

  • @ANamelessGuy Society and the Law has to be seen to protect the law abiding, You say we should study them and pay to keep them in prison why should we? its almost like your trying to find justification for their killing. What would you do to someone that had no reason for killing other than it excites him sexually? would you say 'ahhh its ok a bit of rehab 3 meals a day for 20-30 years and you'll be fine in no time..cont

  • @ANamelessGuy The law has to show that a captial crime has to be met with a strong response the death penalty shows a society that unprovoked murder is wrong, and I dont care what you the death penalty is a detterent for some, not all, but some...cont

  • @ANamelessGuy Your comment 'please think of the children' sickens me it does seem to me you are more in favour of defending the criminal and his right above the vicitms or families. I have said this before and i'll say it again if someone raped and killed a family member of yours for no other reason than for pleasure, would you be happy for him to be living a tax free life in prison, Dont be a hypocrite!

  • @ANamelessGuy The problem is you focus on the prisoners human rights, freedom is a human right so should we maybe not even imprison him? he has the right to freedom doesnt he?? Not all murder should be punished with the death penalty i belive that but people like Ian Huntley and other sick serial killers should be put to death to show a society is strong and willing to do what is right for the majority of the law abiding.

  • @whorelix I have always found it hypocritical that abolitionists reject the DP because it might kill an innocent while at the same time supporting abortion when it does nothing BUT kill innocents. 19:05

  • @jonathansee Yeah it makes me sick bleeding heart liberals are ok with killing an innocent unborn child, yet to kill a monster who has had a chance at life and blew it is wrong its totally sick. Kill somone that hasn't yet had a chance at life but keep somone alive who has committed a sick act of murder. I hate the idiots that support this its utter stupidity at its worst!

  • "Le Debat" "The Debate"? \o/ so where is the opposition voice? wheres the pro-death penalty panel? some debate... Oh well that is New Europe for you.

  • It's sad to know that a country witch seems to be the leading power on earth uses barbarian methods of justice...This is NO justice... This is MURDER... but everything is forgiven and allowed for the USA in this world...at least for now..

  • @morpheas13 European pussies stay the fuck out of our buisness we want our murders dead not cuddled in prison like you euro cowards do. Utah in june will execute murderer by firing squad. VIVA UTAH

  • @jers59 your brainless and stupid answer to my comment gives a clear picture who is the thrash.... we are cowards because we have culture and we are not brainless animals - which obviously you are- ? thats ok with me :) just look what you have wrote...god its insane...

  • @morpheas13 Greece stop asking the IMF to bail you out because your failed socialist state failed get off your lazy ass and work 40 hour work week. Little euro trash coward like yourself never would have had the balls to invade jap land in 1945. We had to save your sorry asses from commies after WW2

  • @morpheas13 What culture? Can some one name famous greek or bulgarian movie? music? famous actor actress?

  • @jers59 "VIVA UTAH"???? your comment makes an execution look like a football game.... in the same order of thoughts if we have to kill a murderer, shouldn't we nuke the USA because you nooked the japanese?????? No nuked country ever nuked an other...

  • @morpheas13 history lesson for you because you are ignorant the japs started the war You ever hear of rape of Nanking where filthy japs murdered over 100.000 civillians, the murder of over 100.000 civillians in Manila in 1944 the use of biological weapons against chinese civillians, forcing korean woman into prostitution, bataan death march, buchering and eating POW,s jap hell ships. Jap civillians were sworn into jap military making them legtimate targets

  • @morpheas13 Whoa slow down cowboy, type slower, think. I can't even understand a word you said.

  • You believe that killing a killer makes you better than that muderer? Arghh, that makes sence? And not everyone in Europe is against it,I believe that certain poeple should be killed, but deffiantly not for the same things that you kill them for. For example, man finds out his wife and mum were killed in a car crash. He looses it a shoots a man.He then spends the night sleeping at the local park, as he cant handle going back home, (to many memorys) What do you do, to this poor man ... kill him?

  • @jers59

What do you think the purpose of the state should be? Seeking vengeance?

  • @xLiquidIllusionx yes protecting the citizens by executing these murdering savages no executed murderer ever killed again

  • @morpheas13 I love to smack the euro trash pussy with the beard who thinks 30 year sentences are too long. Is there any male with balls in europe? I believe not . No executed murderer ever killed again. Death penalty for murderers, rapist, child molesters.

  • "To help us through the maze, we have three of Europe's leading human rights campaigners".

What a joke. They just chose three anti death penalty politicians tto go and promote the COE's anti death penalty agenda. It IS justice, and next time, have a fair debate.

  • Only the Swedish gent could you call a politician. The others are a legal expert and uni professor respectively, who dedicate their life's work to showing how it is not justice...You're right on the Debate point, there should be someone there who is for this heartless, inhumane, legalised form of vengeance.

  • @Chicao22 Its also necessary.

  • Well said, this cannot be a debate at all. If you watch 0:57 sec , this guy does not only want to abolish death penalty but also life without parole. He values criminals and not victims of crimes.

  • @jonathansee I agree the scumbag from slovenia cares only for murdering animals not one word from this low life piece of shit for the innocent victims rotting in there graves

  • @jers59 I find it hard to believe that people who are against the death penalty because they are worrying about executing "innocent" people, truly care about executing innocent people when they support abortion and are already killing heaps of innocent people.

  • @jonathansee couple years ago the euro trash were screaming including the pope that Virginia executed innocent man when DNA test proved this savage was guilty they all went quiet

  • Comment removed

  • @jonathansee typical euro trash pussies these morons who are against death penalty

  • @jers59 Ha I don't think you'd be calling us that if someone you loved commited murder, you'd probaly wish that Utah are wherever abolished the death penalty like europe am i correct, i think perfectly so grow up you twat.

  • @R9forever If I had some scumbag in my family who committed murder i would disown them and when they were executed you will not see me at the funeral . Europe is land of gutless pussies you cuddle crimminals let them out on work release, cable TV, Some animal breaks into my house and Iam home I will gladly put 2 in the chest 1 in the head from my 357 Magnum

  • @R9forever Euro trash care more for murdering savages then they do the poor innocent victims.

  • @jers59 Amen to that these three men make me sick I hope one of their famillies get murdered and raped then lets see if they support the death penalty then!!

  • @whorelix just typical gutless euro trash the pain in the ass greeks get 2 month pay for nothing then when greece goes bankrupt they riot like savages instead of getting off there lazy fat asses and going to work for honest day pay for honest day work.

  • Executions scheduled for December 2009

    Dec 2, 3, 8, 9 ,11..

An absolute guarantee. No recidivism, no parole, no commuting. Capital punishment for capital crime. The one absolute guarantee..

  • Capital punishment for capital crime. Thank you.

  • The thanks goes to Jefferson, Madison, Mason, and the others who crafted amendment 5.

    Cheers.......

  • I say only if the evidence is overwhelming and obvious that the mother fucker deserves death at the LEAST.

  • @d4n13lr0x That's not good enough considering people who commit the most heinous crimes are rarely put to death.

There's overwhelming evidence that Dick Cheney and George W. Bush participated in starting an unlawful war of aggression against the peoples of Iraq.

The Death Penalty is morally inconsistent, and has no uses other than to satisfy revenge fantasies.

  • Well, all laws are based on opinion, which are then based on morality, which would then be judged on how one lives through life. The death penalty, even if it is morally inconsistent, has a use in societies of which we live in. Revenge fantasies? No. That was not in my mind when I said that. What I meant is that any homicidal insane piece of living worthless shit should be put down for the safety of those ALIVE. The "revenge" is far after. It should be used to ensure the protection of alive ppl

  • @d4n13lr0x

If I was to take your assessment of how we should deal with murderers seriously, then would it be justified for regular citizens to take matters in their own hands and kill politicians who wage wars against innocent people?

Should we allow Iraqis to behead the heads of states who waged and aided in the invasion and violence of Iraq?

Since you propose we utilize death to prevent death. Why shouldn't we use it to prevent rape, theft, or any other crime that hurts the innocent?

  • Because the world isn't as nice as you would want it to be. People will die, people will get raped, and people will get robbed. That's how our fucked up society runs. You can't honestly expect me to say that stealing should result in death. All I'm saying is that the death penalty should be in force to show that we live in a society that will NOT allow faggots who kill other human beings and let them get away with it with minimum sentencing.

  • @d4n13lr0x The Death Penalty is no more effective than locking people up for life. And the fact that it is inconsistent in it how and who it is applied to shows that it is inherently flawed.

Why should a guy who murders 5 people in a Liquor store be executed while all but one person involved in the My Lia massacre be acquitted.

  • The world is not fair. The only thing we can do is try to make it fairer. Why should you live in a house with a computer, food, and other consumer goods while people in Africa starve to death every day. The massacre of My Lai is fucked up, and I agree that restrictions and strict codes should be placed on military personnel. But it doesn't change the fact MILLIONS of war crimes are left unpunished by thousands of governments and acquitted without even slight hesitation. Things have to change

  • Responding to statement one, "The death penalty is no more effective then locking people up for life" A. the executed have no recidivism rate. B. the executed do not escape. C. no guard or inmate will die at the hands of someone executed.

  • @HOUSEOFFOURDOORS So kill every rapist and violent prisoner?

We should have executions to prevent prisoners from escaping, getting parole, and preventing inmate violence? Is there any particular reason when you are proposing the death penalty as a tool of crime reduction that we shouldn't expand it?

Death Penalty utility arguments are pretty much psychotic in nature and don't justify anything. They're arguably far worse than the religious variants.

  • "Life without parole", no exceptions, expire in prison? There is a sickening lie. Perhaps the killer of four cops in Washington State had a sentence commuted from 95 years. Now 4 innocent people are dead at the hands of the state releasing someone. 4 innocents lives gone. Executed.

Your extrapolations from my statement are indeed sensational. What about 4 inncocent people executed??

  • @HOUSEOFFOURDOORS There's a simple solution - Don't release them. We don't do it in most cases anyway.

Again, if you're trying to argue that we should kill people to prevent crime, then there is absolutely nothing sensational at all about what I said.

What should we do about rapists? We don't even give them life sentences outside extreme situations - Should we start executing them to prevent the damaging physical and psychological assaults that women endure all to often?

  • @HOUSEOFFOURDOORS Also, this can be said about any one released from prison. Indeed, if we executed most prisoners instead of releases them, then there would be a reduction in crime.

  • eternallord.. I see you are involved in multiple postings. Perhaps some of your zeal flows from poster to poster. This has happened to me and I have apologized for it. We all make mistakes, don't we?? I certainly respect your position to be against capital punishment. Are you aware that only two weeks ago the US Supreme Court heard arguments to halt Life w/o parole sentences for those below 18 years of age?

  • Furthering my point, the DPIC has a rather interesting summary and study where it is suggested that life and lengthy sentences be reduced. So getting rid of the Death Penalty is not the end game. It is a mere step in a much larger process.

  • I'll have to check out the summary if it's readily available.

I personally believe that eliminating the conditions in which the United States has massive waves of crime due to poverty, unemployment, and various other social issues needs to be dealt with before we can overhaul sentence structures.

I think there's more to solving crime than just locking people away forever.

  • As I expected, your argument collapsed. You made two unreconcilable statements within your last three posts. I had hoped to engage in a more reasoned discourse.

Your attempt of using at sensational claims were as sophmoric as the typical knee jerk reaction many on both sides of this issue offer.

I made a miscalculation by contacting you.

    My error.....

  • Sorry, sentencing children to life in prison is a completely different matter than sentencing adults to life and executing them - Maybe I should have been clear about that.

Like I said before, there's literally nothing sensational about what I said on the subject of the death penalty. If you can reconcile killing prisoners for the various instances you listed, then you should easily be able to make the leap to expansion for other violent crimes- If you can't then your logic is inconsistent.

  • @d4n13lr0x Saying that the Death Penalty has it's uses is hardly a justification for it. Most forms of killing have a use - If you're executed for homosexual behavior somewhere in the Middle East there's many obvious utilities, which range from a brutal deterrent to getting rid of political opposition.

In fact, it could be argued that expediting and expanding the death penalty to less violent crimes could low taxes.

The Death Penalty only covers up larger societal issues - it isn't a solution.

  • I never said it was a solution. I merely stated that if the general populace and fucked up individuals are reminded that killing someone will result in your death, then violent acts will lessen, I hope, to an extent. Only in the circumstances in which obvious evidence and obvious intents were shown should the death penalty used. I am trying to say that it should be implemented as a scare tactic, but also to remind people that justice WILL be served accordingly and without fail.

  • There is an execution scheduled for December 2..
