Wood gas stoves burn by a gasification process. For details Google "wood gas". Use this stove only outside. Never, ever use this stove inside a tent, building or survival structure!

why is it called a wood *gas* stove nad not just wood stove?
also can you use it indoors?

No fan is used. I design all my stoves using natural convection physics.
