but....to power it through the 12v in the car you would need to use it with the car door, window or boot open, how do you stop the water from getting in then?

I wouldn't call this a pressure washer. This is just an electric water sprayer. You can probably get the same pressure from a garden hose.

@snowball1988 The power cord should be fine under the door seal when the door is closed.
