  • Isn't the CPU heat sink a huge overkill if its just for browsing the web.. ? The stock fan would have done just fine.

  • youre canadian me thinks:)

  • JUST BUY THE FREAKING BLACK COLOUR VERSION xd but nice video though

  • whats a atx case if this is micro?

  • @308beatZ Has more pci slots.

  • ... damm that cooler is a monster can som1 tell me the model?

  • That is fantastic mate! I can't wait to see your next project. All the best!

  • thats great man :) love the huge heatsink for just a regular use pc haha

  • Thats a huge ass heat sink....

nice job on the case, I'd totally buy it :P

  • thats a gaming heatsink, no a bomb.. serisoly... its HUGE

  • Wow that's looks great, I'm sorting doing the same thing. Mine is going just as a family pc back home. The only thing I hate about this case is there is absolutely no room for cable management with out taking up one or more of the drive bays... Great job man

  • Well, shit, I'm impressed. You turned that POS 40$ case into something. I got 2 Antec Sonata III cases, they got real shit for airflow, so you actually gave me confidence not to drop those out the window and do something with them. Great job, especially painting.

  • EXCELLENT WORK! What kind of disc did you use on your Dremel Roto-Tool when you were cutting out holes in the metal chassis? For instance, was it a metal disc? Whatever material that tiny disc is made out of, it sure did an incredible job in cutting out holes in your metal chassis.

  • @A2Pinboy i used a Dremel 300 and their standard reinforced cutting wheel. Wasn't a metal disc, think of it more like hard tough sand paper.

  • @A2Pinboy Abrasion [spelling?] blade is what you need.

  • hey men nice Mod!! 1 question... how did you get that mirror effect on the pc? it was awesome, i'm looking videos of modding and i want to make that effect. thanks for responding.

  • @LoyiSensei you basically just spray several coats of your paint, progressively wetsand it in the same direction with 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit sand paper, then buf it like a car. You can watch videos by mnpctech, they are professionals who do it and they made some how-to's.

  • you should show how you mounted it like that, im about to get tuniq tower as well and i would like it to flow out the back instead of the top, was it realy hard or no and it seems like that beast would break the mobo haha

  • @AggressiveNapkin16 wasn't too hard, but you shouldn't have to worry. The latest revision of the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme has mounting hardware to allow for front-to-back airflow. If I would have waiting a few months before buying the cooler, I wouldn't have had to fab mounting brackets.

  • how much mm between the sidepanel and the cpu cooler.

  • good stuff, btw what cpu cooler was that ?

  • @plutomok Tuniq Tower 120 extreme

  • Looks great man! Which paint did you use?

  • @MrGeeBeeEss Duplicolor Self-Etching primer, and Duplicolor Glossy and Flat black enamel paints. In Texas they have them at Auto-Zone and Advanced Auto Parts

  • @mrjspeed So the process was sand - > primer -> sand again -> flat black -> wet sand? Looks like it came from the factory.

  • @MrGeeBeeEss yes to that process for the Glossy black on the outside panels. For the internal pieces with flat black, I didn't do sanding after primer or paint, just cleaned off overspray. I was originally gonna do a clear coat on the clossy parts, but when I was messing with it, it looked milky, so I just wetsanded the glossy paint down with 1000, 1500, 2000grit and buffed with polishing compound.

  • @mrjspeed so when you panted the internals flat black you sanded everything first and then primered and panted. Nothing else required?

  • @MrGeeBeeEss nope. The primer is self-etching. Just do thin even coats and you won't have to do any touching up. On some test pieces I didn't spray the primer very well, so it was rough. If that were the case I would sand the primer to smooth it out.

  • @mrjspeed Ahh... So no sanding requred... Thanks!

  • Wow you are awesome.

  • Kick-ass case mod. Gonna be doing the same when I pick up that case, maybe not get rid of the side vents though, but would definitely love getting a black interior and gloss going.

  • Nice job on the case modding man ,, well done!

  • Looks amazing man!

  • Good job with the paint work and creating custom brackets for the heatsink.

  • Love the video, still trying to find a video how to remove the rivets and re-revet the case. I planning a modded around the cm elite 360 and this helps. Thanks

  • a drill 1/8 drill bit, rivet gun and rivets...

  • nice build btw what heatsink is that xD its huge

  • its a Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme. Fairly new, the problem was it didn't mount with horizontal airflow so I made some brackets to allow it.

I know it's huge, but it is actually the shortest 120mm directional airflow heatsink I've found. It's a little smaller than the original Tower 120 even. I wanted a 120mm heatsink so noise would be at a minimum.

  • looks very nice cand clear check out my 2nd account: TheAteston please watch my syystem

  • Excellent job! 5/5 i'm sure your mom will love this rig.

But I think the cooler is a little overkill for a non gaming rig.

    Cheers

    LazyMan :-)

  • Unless he's running it passively. I see no fan attached, and less noise is a big plus for a non-gaming PC. I've been thinking about building something similiar (high-end active cooler running fanlessly in a small case, integrated or passive GPU) for my girlfriend except in white.

  • That is true however a lower end cooler would have worked also. i was just making reference that it's a nice cooler for a non gaming rig. But it sure looks nice in there.

    Cheers

  • @WestCoastMods :D at least itll stay cool.... looks nice build :D

  • I love this mod! I'm also planing to buy an mATX case for my PC, because the ATX is just too big, and the motherboard is an mATX, so why not. I've found the Aerocool qs200, which is very similar to this case, but with some differences.

  • That looks FANTASTIC! I like it. Good Job. The filling in of the side pannel and the 120 mm fan on the bottom are top notch. 5/5 stars.

  • Very nice job on the case and nice looking build too. I used this case to build a machine for a client and they love it. I used it stock, but i love what you did with it.
