Ask for a higher concentration because you will not see any results if your keloids are bigger or if they are older scars. I am currently treating my keloids on my chest and it has worked very very well. But like you said, when he treated me with 10mg of steroid injections it didn't do squat. Good luck everyone.

Now, I got surgery on one in my shoulder blade, combining radiation before and after the surgery removal, worked perfectly well. I tried the same on my collar bone, and It didn't work, It did not grow bigger, but it itches much more and it looks like its growing a little.

I have keloids EXACTLY the same place you have them. Mine came from cystic acne, and like you I have no health insurance. My face is clear, but then when you look at the side of my face I've got a keloid on my lower cheek/jaw. Nobody says anything, but when I mention it they always say it looks like I have a bug bite or rash. I want to remove mine too, it's getting annoying.
i had keloids grow on the back of my ears after i had them pierced, it too was irritating with the questions they were the size of a marble and now i cannot wear fake earings cause they tend to make my ears itch. the one on my right ear hasnt grown back nor itches but the left has increased in size a little and itches HORRIBLY.. i hate it so no more piercings for me.. luckily im in the army and the military paid for it. i had them since 2005 and had them removed in 2009
Heyy man! love the confidence and the plan sounds very nice, except for one thing. honestly, in my opinion, why not skip the injections all the way to the surgery? i mean, is it really worth it to go through all that pain? The injections do hurt like a MF. But keep it up, it will work. May take several trips to the doc, but it will make your keloids flat. And if you have insurance it should be covered. Even though they may say it's a vanity thing, the way I got around it was saying the keloids were itchy (which they were at the time). Good luck!

@potterylady1 hi,not a good idea to put tea tree oil on the head without diluteing it first with a oil like lavender.It would cause your hair to fall out and stuff.tea tree oil is strong....R u sure they are keloids? i'm not sure if it is ok to put anthing on your head if your pimples are infected.I don't dilute the oil when I put it on the keloid and scar on my leg.

before applying it to your head when it gets better.I always read that people say to use 50% tea tree\50% carrier oil in the mixture.I think that 50% tea tree might be too much for people's head.I never try it on my head as yet.

Your keloids are at the right stage for great improvement. I had a keloid on right side of my neck that was much larger than yours. I had surgery to remove it and had radiation following. The keloid did not come back. The radiation killed the cells. This form of radiation is not cancers. I was told for many years to stay away from radiation because it cause cancer. The radiologist told me the side effect would be that of a small sunburn. I could have this treatment years ago.
Im now starting a treatment that was given by my plastic surgeon. It's call Scarguard. Many of the patients in his office said it works wonders. It is the #1 recommended treatment they use f or keloids

i needed my dermatologist to inject an anti-bacterial liquid on my big pimple on my nose before, he took out the bacteria(through a thin syringe)and then he injected another liquid to make the bump subside,it did work but now i have keloids and he suggested something again,ill be back there, and yeah i agree that the actual injection is really painful,but i stay focus on the result,
Personally, I think the injections are the best option. I've gotten the shots in my back and chest, and they're definitely worth the pain. I know it's not comparable to getting injections in the face, but I honestly didn't find them that bad (in fact, I'd say they're less painful than a regular shot).
Contractubex is also an option, though you have to rub it in several times a day for months. I guess I'm more of a "quick fix" person. I don't have much patience with these things. ;p
My aunt had keloids on her ears. She looked like she had permanent earrings. :) they were the size of quarters. She had them removed about ten years ago. They didn't grow back. Much luck to you man. :)

I got the Injections and had laser Treatment I got two laser sessions.
But i gotta tell you the Shots HURT NOTHING LIKE THE LASER The laser burns like hell you can smell your self on fire as the Laser burns your hair. But you get pretty good results DOSN'T really help with the Keloids tho. Just prevents you from ever growing Facal hair again, So know longer will your Razor Bumps Turn to Keloid. i guess only thing to do now is get them cut off and pray they don't grow back if I follow up on them

@DisorderlyKonduct08 i had mine lasered off and then i had radition to keep them from growing back it was the worst it was short session but it was terribble, i think that the surgery would compromise the structre of your face because they have to go deep and get the core out , well that what the told me but do research before because you are pretty good looking

@Taeyang101 It didn't leave any dark spots on me at all, But I didn't get it for scars I got mine for razor bumps, and to get rid of Facial hair. The only thing is your face will be liltte red after words but other that than it works jsut fine.

Whats up man? I wanted to to tell you your a big insperation. I got Keloids exactly like yours and man they are a pain. Emotionally and Phyically. Am 21 had them sense I was 17-18. I hated them so much in High School because you know how kids can be, but now that am out they don't bother me as much. I had to quit my High School job working at a shoe store, Because I got tired of people mainly BARBERS asking me what I was shaving with. I always had to explain their not Razor Bumps their Keloids.
I have keloids too, but on my shoulders. I got injections in a couple of them, which seems to work, but then I got lazy and never followed up. They also gave me a steroid cream, which is supposed to slowly wear them down. This was several years ago when I had this done originally. Now, I'm kind of getting in shape and want to take my shirt off more, but I still have these ugly scars, so I'm again looking at treatments. I think I'm going to try Dermatix and Dr. Blaines complete scar care.

I'm saying laser surgery because the process itself is considered "surgery". I don't know which process would be the better treatment, best bet would be to ask a local dermatologist....good luck with your keloid!

I have keloids on both sides of my face also....I've been getting steroid injections since January and it hasn't been great success but its helping....I wanted to get laser surgery as well but from what I'm hearing it isn't really for African Americans..Have you been told that you are ok to get laser treatment if you wanted?

PS: I had a 3CM Keloid removed from my Ear TWICE! The first time I put healing creams on it it came back twice as BIG? After the 2nd surgery I just left it alone let it DRY out heal naturally on its on...

As of the keloids they are very hard to remove. I tried TEA TREE oil works well, but Professional Surgery is best. As of Care sometimes leaving them alone to dry naturally.

i needed my dermatologist to inject an anti-bacterial liquid on my big pimple on my nose before, he took out the bacteria(through a thin syringe)and then he injected another liquid to make the bump subside,it did work but now i have keloids and he suggested something again,ill be back there, and yeah i agree that the actual injection is really painful,but i stay focus on the result,

Personally, I think the injections are the best option. I've gotten the shots in my back and chest, and they're definitely worth the pain. I know it's not comparable to getting injections in the face, but I honestly didn't find them that bad (in fact, I'd say they're less painful than a regular shot).
Contractubex is also an option, though you have to rub it in several times a day for months. I guess I'm more of a "quick fix" person. I don't have much patience with these things. ;p

My aunt had keloids on her ears. She looked like she had permanent earrings. :) they were the size of quarters. She had them removed about ten years ago. They didn't grow back. Much luck to you man. :)

The side effects one doctor told me is with too much steroid in your face it could wrinkle your skin at an early age indent your skin discolor it real bad and some other stuff I want to do it I am just trying to see if anybody heard or had any of these side effects if you google kenalog you will see what I am talking about and where can i get tea tree oil at??

A good brotha I wanted to ask a really important question I have a keloid on my face my doctor was going to give me the kenalog injection (steroid) BUT i did research and the drug has serious side effects did your doctor say anything about side effects and would you reccommend injection in the face???

well, good luck with your keloids, i hope it all works! to me, the keloids are no problem, it's just who you are. if they grow back, it doesn't really matter.

I got the Injections and had laser Treatment I got two laser sessions.
But i gotta tell you the Shots HURT NOTHING LIKE THE LASER The laser burns like hell you can smell your self on fire as the Laser burns your hair. But you get pretty good results DOSN'T really help with the Keloids tho. Just prevents you from ever growing Facal hair again, So know longer will your Razor Bumps Turn to Keloid. i guess only thing to do now is get them cut off and pray they don't grow back if I follow up on them

@DisorderlyKonduct08 i had mine lasered off and then i had radition to keep them from growing back it was the worst it was short session but it was terribble, i think that the surgery would compromise the structre of your face because they have to go deep and get the core out , well that what the told me but do research before because you are pretty good looking

@Taeyang101 It didn't leave any dark spots on me at all, But I didn't get it for scars I got mine for razor bumps, and to get rid of Facial hair. The only thing is your face will be liltte red after words but other that than it works jsut fine.
I hear it can get rid of scaring I'd Try it worked for me. GOOD LUCK make sure you do your reserch on the people or company whose doing your treatment. Make sure they know what to set the laser on and have alots of Experiences

Whats up man? I wanted to to tell you your a big insperation. I got Keloids exactly like yours and man they are a pain. Emotionally and Phyically. Am 21 had them sense I was 17-18. I hated them so much in High School because you know how kids can be, but now that am out they don't bother me as much. I had to quit my High School job working at a shoe store, Because I got tired of people mainly BARBERS asking me what I was shaving with. I always had to explain their not Razor Bumps their Keloids.

I have keloids too, but on my shoulders. I got injections in a couple of them, which seems to work, but then I got lazy and never followed up. They also gave me a steroid cream, which is supposed to slowly wear them down. This was several years ago when I had this done originally. Now, I'm kind of getting in shape and want to take my shirt off more, but I still have these ugly scars, so I'm again looking at treatments. I think I'm going to try Dermatix and Dr. Blaines complete scar care.

I'm saying laser surgery because the process itself is considered "surgery". I don't know which process would be the better treatment, best bet would be to ask a local dermatologist....good luck with your keloid!

I have keloids on both sides of my face also....I've been getting steroid injections since January and it hasn't been great success but its helping....I wanted to get laser surgery as well but from what I'm hearing it isn't really for African Americans..Have you been told that you are ok to get laser treatment if you wanted?

Well, Im leaving college and plan on starting my career as an art administrator and also want to get back into modeling...in order to do both it would help alot to get rid of the keloids..would make my life a bit easier.

PS: I had a 3CM Keloid removed from my Ear TWICE! The first time I put healing creams on it it came back twice as BIG? After the 2nd surgery I just left it alone let it DRY out heal naturally on its on...

I personally have Keloids on my left ear from peircing and a keloid on my lip from removing a mole!
After watching this video you have changed me and made me become a better person. On the real you are a STUD (no homo no homo) Also your Attitude make you TRUE.
As of the keloids they are very hard to remove. I tried TEA TREE oil works well, but Professional Surgery is best. As of Care sometimes leaving them alone to dry naturally.
