  • fantastic mate

  • ahhahahaha i love my plummer terrier

  • those are some big ass mother fuckin rats!

  • i got a plummer about a month ago. hes six months old. one of the best ratting dogs i ever had. from just being around the farm hes left 20+ rats at the back door . just cant break him to ferrets do. there should be moore breaders in ireland there hard to get

  • I should have read a bit further, sorry tohear he passed away.

  • I'm from Australia, is Brian Plummer still alive. I read all of his books years ago, they were very interesting stories. I didn't realise he was married,it always sounded as though he lived alone apart from whatever dogs he had at the time.

  • Those rats are huge

  • i lived with brian and his wife norma at his place in caithness, hillhead and believe me he was anything but a recluse. he loved to talk for hours to a good many people over the phone as his bills would have testified. he also travelled extensively to meet people and to attend shows

  • Simply great shots of some proper game dogs doing the job they were bread for not prancing round a show ring eating chocolate buttons!

  • damn wow, thats awesome

  • Big rats, great dogs.

  • The legendary gentleman behind the creation of these Game and un-erring little terrier types, was a genuis who gave something to the hunting fraternity , which was neither his original intention and damn near his un-doing. On 12th September 2003 Brian Plummer sadly passed away, but reading through some of the downright foolish statements left in reply to this vid, It is easy to unbderstand his shrinking from the limelight as though to speak, and almost yearn a reclusive lifestyle.

  • lovely dogs mate i would love a dog like that were did you get them from i have a jack russell hes class what breed are they

  • I want those dogs!!

  • All new Rat Attack Smoker Mk 2 now available from Shoot Right Products. Demo videos available on the website site and You Tube.

  • @lescooke82 Learn to spell, asshat.

  • @Aquadirt dam your really going to stop all the ratters out there stop ratting with your snidey comments arnt you,get a life,if you dont like watching it dont click on the vid!ffs!

  • @lescooke82 No. No I won't. Obviously that isn't going to happen. I have as much a right to voice my opinion as you do to spell like an elementary school child. If all you have to do is respond to the comments others have made, it seems you may be the one in need of a life.

  • great pics of d plummers

plz look at my vid of my plummer

    go 2 boltcatchretrieve365 thanks

  • Damn I hate this. I love both rats and mice, as an illustrator I love to observe their mannerisms and I sketch them quite often.

  • you can watch them die here then, draw that!!rolan rat!

  • @CandyCrayon91

I also think they have interesting mannerisms, but they carry disease and overpopulate very quickly. After you have half of a large garden destroyed, clean up rat and mouse droppings all over the house, and pay for fixing any other damage they have caused, then we can talk.

  • Good work, i hate rats and mice.

  • good work

  • danm dude...rat in 2:55 is huge!

  • good ratting, when iwas a kid me and my mate with his lakeland terrier meg used to be allowed in the sewerage works in kendal. with my ferret bolting them, meg hammered them but she took a lot of bites to her cheek, came away bloodied but undeterred, keen as owt!

  • at 3.32 looks like a rat is getting him some sweet revenge....hope not. damn i hate rats. they give me the creeps.

  • i wont be letting these dogs lick me on the face after watching this!! lol!!---damn those are some huge rats!!

  • good job!!!!!

  • lol at 2:34 that must of been a big rat

  • Oh no the rats bit the dogs~~~:(

  • This is truly the ecological way to get rid of rat infestations. No poison in the environment, no accidental kills of woodland creatures, etc. Good to see you doing it the old fashion way!

    (Big rats!!!)

  • wow

    good dog

  • what a wonderful country persuit. Lovely dogs. One of the last things in the country not yet BANNED!

  • i prefere this to poisoning them n letting them slowly die, also the idea of 100s of dead rat bodies where food is stored makes me feel ill. my border catches them where i keep horses, keeps him entertained lol

  • Good doggies!

  • yes! you are right but i thought they had j russell in them to mate ! these dogs have a great nose on them , get alot of pleasure out of mine watching him work !!!

  • no theres a lot more in them than jrt. they do have a great nose on them, they are a joy to watch.

  • Thank you :)

  • @GunnerGraham i like my nuts, id give a kidney though.

  • fuck all u anti's. dont you have anything better to do than type in things u dont like and comment on them while us lot are having a good time watching it. u wankers spoil everything for us. JUST LIKE FOX HUNTING!!!! KEEP HUNTING !!!! FUCK THE ANTI'S AND DO WHAT WE DO BEST!!!!!!

  • rats are shit

  • This is why Terriers aren't really happy unless they are working. They're meant to be working dogs, master ratters, and for that reason I just don't believe they make good "pets" per se--not that they can't get along with us just fine, but they are meant to work WITH us by controlling the rat population. If they don't have a job, like most of our domestic animals, I don't believe their lives are complete or truly happy.

  • Nice Vid i added it to my favorites 5stars....Whats the name of this song?

  • they look like dingos

  • Nice bit of rattin,

  • got a jack russell 2yrs old soon, when I take her to some farm fields when she smells something she digs and make a snorting sound even starts crying, digging like mad, has she found something near, if it was a rat if it came out do they naturally kill them, because she once found a rabbit and just went roun and roundit barking, just like to get her ratting, also she nearly had a squirrell other day do they naturally go for things or do you have to train them, any advice as im new to it all

  • keeps anyone got a russel dog young bitch is in season and want a pup off her

  • welldone keeps keep it up never seen you for a while hows the dogs and shows J.R

  • Hello JR. Not been to many shows recently - no doubt will bump into you sometime or other over the summer :)

  • Come on keeps2, are ya going to tell us what the soundtrack is ...the band or song ?..you did tell us it was "Hippy hippy shake shake "in Plummer teriers ratting 2 ...go on, be a sport

  • Go on then, its "Hunters & Gatherers" by the High Burning Fire.

  • Brilliant photography BUT what is the name of the band playing as your music???w

  • i no ur not sellin but how much is 1 of they terriers and wat r trhey called again

  • No Im not selling them. They are plummer terriers. The cost depends on where you buy them from; working homes tend to cost less but arent advertised as frequently.

  • r they as much as a lab?

  • The sad thing is, here in the UK, hunting rats with that many hounds is now illegal!!!!!

    How stupid is that?

  • Ratting with dogs on land with permission is still perfectly legal.

  • Thanks for reply. You could well be right here! I have misinterpreted the hunting bill

Rabbits are classed as a mammals and rats are classed as medium sized rodents, "True rats" are members of the genus Rattus. I have looked through the bill again and can find no mention to rodents! Happy days.

  • Rabbits are also legal to hunt as long as its on land where you have permission, read it again ;)

  • Yes I know thanks, , , ,and I do, not too many left now though so letting them do what rabbits do best, breeeeeed !!!

    Again thanks and happy hunting

    Ste

  • You had any 'long-legged' Plummers ? I bought one to work with my Border/Lakelands, and its far too tall. Its actually at me muthas now as a pet.

  • only good rat is a dead 1

  • true

  • These really are nice looking terriers, came across them on youtube, hadn't seen one before, when i move back to the country i will have one of these little beasts and go kill some vermin.

  • You should use this beautiful soldiers ;) to kill foxes.

  • nice vid m8 sum good pics in there an it looks like a decent working pack would luv ta take them rattin anyday

  • I have a Patterdale terrier - she is similar to these but a little heftier and shorter legs. Same attitude. But she has never hunted before, city dog. She did catch a huge rat behind my loft in Brooklyn once. I know this what they are all bred for, but it pains me to see it anyway....I can't help think of Watership Down and Meerkat Manor when I see these fotos of such devastation of small defensless creatures.

  • Terrier wit the white ass, tail isnt docked enough

  • 1:50 is a mole

  • Nope it isnt, we didnt catch any moles, just rats ;)

  • Excellent video, excellent ....good music as well , could you tell what it is... the groups and track ?

  • Superb photos mate, nice to see your dogs doing what they were bred for. The russell looks a handy dog too - love the shot of it with wild eyes - keep hunting!

  • good pictures

  • i used to have a plummer terrier her name was nellie she died july 10th aged 16 years and 112 in dog years i miss her so much i no how special they are!!!!!!
