This movie made me mad... i grew up without my dad and still in therapy for it. My dad has never been there for me, not for my school programs, dance recitals, choir programs, softball games. none of em i used to cry myself to sleep waiting for him to come back and see me.. but i realized i was living in a fairy tale... i will NEVER know my father and i don't want to anymore, he didn't want me i don't want him now,,, I hope he experiences the same pain he out my through. i cried like crazy im not a dad yet but my dad almost couldnt take it when he watched it for when my sister his daughter died in a car crash to work but he is the strongest man i will ever meet because just like in the movie he thanks god for the time he did have with her than to be mad at god for the time he didnt get with her.

you know a movie is good when it makes grown men cry, they freely admit it (myself included) and no one is busting anyone's chops about it. absolutely love this film and i hope more like this come out soon. this was fantastic

My father was a drunk looser and its looking like I will end up just like him. Oh well, can't win them all. Those that have a really good earthly father, one who truly cares and actually pays attention to you, be thankful and greatful because most children, to include those with so-called "Christian" fathers, will never experience this type of love and attention.

Just saw this movie last night with my wife and two daughters and was a beautiful experience. We cried, we laughed and were confronted with the reality that God requires of us men as fathers. Not just about bringing food home, but to live every detail with yours every day, thank God for every moment that passes and be integral as a man but many more like fathers.How different would society be if we were concerned more by what happens in our homes. That, to me, is to be brave and "courageous."
