How do you get the intense flash/sparkle effect on the walls of the house?

Dude that just put the christmas spirit back in me, every time that shooting star went for the tree, i couldn't help but giggle like a little kid, thats totally epic of a light show. How long that take you to put up and how much it set you back if you don't mind me asking. Even if it didnt work the next year, that video man was totally worth what you shelled out for it.

Thanks, this show takes about 160hours to put up and about 10hr of programing for each min of music.

Yes, I think Animated Lighting is better. I have experience with both including the DMX versions.

@114avataraang No, I own Animated Lighting and wish I had Light O Rama. The software called animation director is over 7 years old and wont work on anything other than windows XP.

You can use many other programs. The controllers don't need Animation Director to run. I use at lease 2 different programs now. Whats more is that you can run Animated Lighting and Light-o-Rama at the same time :-)

@wsolyman Is that with a laptop running the show or using the monster brain? Currently I have my Monster Brain running it. I was also under the impression that you needed modifications to the Animated Lighting controllers to run Light O Rama's software.

It a laptop running the show and no there is not modification needed. I don't run LOR software at all. You can have more than 1 RS485 output on your computer so one can be LOR and one can be AL etc. Try something like lighshowpro.

@wsolyman I tried hooking it up to my monster brain serial port and light show pro wouldn't do anything. Do I have to omit the MB completely and hook directly into a lighting controller? I also have a DMX box that controls my smart lighting. I didn't see it as an option in the program. LOL I'm so sick of animation director. It crashed last night and corrupted my file after 4 hours of work.

Ohh ok. And I also have to put the strobes on a building (commercial) at specific times- like every minute I guess. What kind of gadget do u suggest I use to make the strobes go off every minute

Depends on the effect and if they are being synchronized to something. Could be on a simple timer if they are not synchronized, but if you want more control, you should use Animated Lighting or Light-O-Rama

Check out the fireworks from 09. The strobes are from American DJ, but fireworks were the favorite this year. By the way. there are about 650 strobes on the house, but they don't show up on video very good.

I would love to make a video to show how, but I have little time. Each arch has about 800 lights (LED)

From Disneyland, but I made it much shorter. The complete version is over 20min. long.

All my songs are purchased and licensed, and since I post them in public places such as youTube, I don't want to breech the license agreements. This particular song can be acquired from Disney directly. It is on their 50th anniversary CD.

Most came from Target. It took me 3 years to get all the lights and I keep on adding. i have already purchased more for next years display.
