You can tell Tyler was on heroin,he's calm and dos'nt dance around like an idot as he does presently,HEY STEVEN GET BACK ON SMACK,PLAY REAL ROCK &ROLL AGAIN, AND STOP THOSE PATHETIC GIRLIE BALLADS
fkn cool! joe playn the clear strat. " feets on the ground and your heads goin down the drain' I've seen a-smith over 30 times throughout the years. Being from MA you could'nt missem. A great show most every time. without a doubt they had some fkd up shows but just the same, always a cool gig!
Thorgal20 said: "I don't like this song because it has not much Aerosmith in it. "
Defending "Pink", which I said was pop-ish, not a "shitty song," & saying that "Draw The Line" (1977) has not much Aerosmith in it, isn't even worth an argument. SOME young Aerosmith fans are just too whacky & clueless. Worse is that this song was written by Steven Tyler & Joe Perry, and "Pink" had two outside writers, so this song really *is* much AS & sounds like it. Anyway, I like this Texxas Jam concert.
I used to watch this performance (and many other really cool ones) on a VHS tape called "Aerosmith Scrapbook" or something like that. It was fucking great, but as far as I can tell, they haven't released it on DVD (correct me and I'll be grateful). It's weird, because they've certainly taken a long and well-deserved ride on their legend, but sometimes I wonder if they're embarrassed by these old clips where they're on major drugs and still AWESOME. Check my channel for some good raw blues btw
@pwyndam What you mean "they were hard rock"? They're still hard rock band. check their gigs! I was on their gig in Prague 1st of July 2010 and they kicked my ass totally! They hit Hard with great riffs, crazy solos and drums which sounded like A Thunder! They are still Hard Rock band! Fuck ballads like "I don;t want to miss a thing". At the concerts they fuckin ROCKS! Aerosmith Rules!
@Thorgal20 Last good album they made was early 80's. After that, sell out city, MTV. Yeah, they're still hard rock and I'm sure they kick ass live still, but I prefer Aero of the 70's.
@pwyndam Well I can't agree with that, because "Get a Grip" was one of their greatest album full of riffs, solos etc: Eat theRich, Flesh, Fever, Shut up and Dance, Walk on Down, Can't Stop Messin etc. For me Get a Grip is on the second place of the best Aerosmith's albums. First is ROCKS, and third is Nine Lives which also isnt't crap! Nine Lives is a great hard rockin album just like Get a Grip. My big 3 of my fav albums is: ROCKS, Get a Grip, Nine Lives.
Well, for me they kicked ass then and they kicked ass in the 90's and they sure kick ass now.
They have a LOT of commercial-movie-mtv stuff, alright, but they never sound "forced".
I think they really don't mind too much if they are being commercial or alternative or blues. They kick ass whatever they do, either it is Armageddon slimy-stuff or Back back train from Honkin' on bobo or some of their 70's stuff.
It's your opinion. Aerosmith are still kicking ass hard rock band. When they were making their show in Prague they rocked and ruled whole fuckin o2 Arena. The crowd was pleased by every single song.
@Grendelmonster8u Who cares? Pink is cool song with bluesy harmonica and nice acoustic guitar in it. So what's your problem? You don't like it? F.I.N.E. I like Pink, it's really cool song. Of course I prefer harder Aerosmith's stuff such as Nobody's Fault, but as a fan I like all their albums, and all their songs. You got right with one thing, they fuckin rocked. BTW at o2 Arena in Prague they didn't play 5 soft songs. 3 ballads and rest of the stuff was pure hard rock and blues
@Grendelmonster8u No I'm not "over sensitivie" pal. I'm just sayin that Pink isn't "shitty song" right? Did I say that you can't have your own opinion man? Of course you can, you should, it's your goddamn right to have your own opinion. I never said that such ballads as don't wanna miss a thing is hard rock ballad ok? I don't like this song because it has not much Aerosmith in it.
@pwyndam Don't worry, some don't even bother looking at what you were responding to, which was someone who said: "They were metal before metal was cool." MegaRushFan1 7 months ago
Of course they were never metal before metal became prevalent. "Hard rock" is a nebulous term. The Who, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Deep Purple, etc. all have a mix of softer & some harder rock songs. IMO, Aero's hardest rock song from the 70s is "Round And Round" b/c it's heavy. Other stuff is just 'rock'.
I grew up in Worcester, Mass in the 70's & 80's and Aerosmith was everywhere. I saw them live in their prime like 5 times. Aerosmith remain the greatest American rock band to ever step foot onto a stage. No American band before or since has even come close to AEROSMITH !!!!
The boys at their peak. After this the energy would never reach this peak. Live Bootleg gives you a real feel for what Asmith was like at its best. Thanks for the Vid...
