A few months ago I was searching for Diane Wakoski poems on YT, but I did not see this. I'm so glad to find it. She is a wonderful poet (and to see her read live is a pleasure.) She trains a steady eye on pain and contradiction, divisions, ugliness, cruelty and thankfully the nature of inner beauty. "Emerald Ice" is well worth finding and carries through so many themes presented here. Thank you for this beautiful upload. (Faved.)
