Also, just because Nissan chooses to go FI instead of NA doesn't mean they are inferior in any way... Yes CSL is very good, very light compared to all of those cars on the track. And to say that Nissan doesn't have good engineering is rubbish. Skylines and GT-R dominate the race track even today.
@demoskunk Hey, GTR has back seat and trunk. Also, Gallardo and GTR are by far the fastest here, check out the attack time at the end of the race. Just because a car can sit in the front and block others from passing doesn't mean it's faster.

Im pretty certain that the R35 isnt close to what the R34 is especially that 170000 dollar monster... BMWs are great much respect but in real life the R34 GTR dominates the track..

There is no way JDM car can match it. It can only keep up to the stock euro only when those 3 car busy overtaking each other and slowing down to prevent accident, and the R34 jut came from nowhere in the end and win it.

the r34 z-tune is a modified r34 in the same way that the m5 is a modified 5 series. You walked into a nissan dealership and bought the car. You walk into a BMW dealership and buy the m5. No difference. Of course they didn't make very many z-tunes, but it isn't a "tuner car".

With that sort of body weight, That M5 would definitely have had serious tire wear, so I reckon Tsuchiya had no choice but to go sideways. It's a miracle it kept the top for most of the race anyway. Praise goes to Tsuchiya for that sort of crazy driving.
And as for the GT-R coming out on top at the final corner, I'd say it was plain lucky that he had the all-clear for going flatout there. It was crowded and the other cars probably had nowhere to go (thanks to Tsuchiya's drifting... xD ).

Impossible on all the laps the GT-R was almost last and at the end it finished first. This is not possible. BMW M5, M3 and Lamborghini could beat anybody.
It is amazing that the bulky M5 can still keep up on this twisty track. Moreover, AWD and 500BHP doesn't mean that it's the fastest in the world. Japanese cars can be fast, too. The NSX-R did 7:56s on Nordschleife, same as the F360CS which is 100kg lighter and with 165BHP more.
Twisty tracks and roads are BMW playground. They are made with 50:50 weight distribution which makes them very agile in taking corners, slow and fast. BMWs driving dynamics are so advance which makes them the benchmark for any car manufacturer, be it Japanese, German or any other countries. For example, 3 series dynamics is the benchmark in its class, 5 series dynamics is the benchmark in its class, X5 dynamics is the benchmark in its class.

1. Comparing a GTR to an M5 is an insult to BMW. Nissan cannot compete with BMW NA engines. They need to turbo the sh¡t out of their engines.
Even a turbocharged 3.2L S54 can make more than 550hp.
2. Look at the CSL! So composed, underpowered by 120+hp and still hanging!
3. Both the S54 (M3) and the S85 (M5), were International Engine of the Year.
Nissan has never won a single award in any category. GTR-What?

another fact: the M5 was never made for the track, therefore its drifting the whole time.
furthermore the GTR is a pure racing car - like the porsche, lambo and M3.
nevertheless i have to admit: the end looks a bit strange. (one round before the final lap the M5 was beating the M3 on the straight because of more power, and now its the other way round... and of course the GTR looks just too fast for me)

stock r34 GTR (280) is slower than 911 turbo AWD (420hp) on tsukuba circuit about 1 second on lap.JDM cars is the best for the track ,for examble NSX-R (280hp) is faster on tsukuba circuit than porsche GT3,Turbo,BMW M5,M3, ferrari 360 modena and many others. R34 GTR never be been 30 second behind 911 S .

the r34 z-tune is a modified r34 in the same way that the m5 is a modified 5 series. You walked into a nissan dealership and bought the car. You walk into a BMW dealership and buy the m5. No difference. Of course they didn't make very many z-tunes, but it isn't a "tuner car".

wrong. Z-tune edition came from NISMO which stands for NISSAN MOTORSPORT. It is wholly owned by Nissan in exactly the same way that the BMW M-sport division is wholly owned by BMW. The z-tune edition is as legitimately a nissan as an S-Tune, an R-Tune, a 400R and so on. For example today you can buy an R-tune 370Z from Nissan.

They are all different, and designed years apart as well. All I was was saying was the z-tune isn't an aftermarket "tuner" car unfairly dominating "stock" models.

For your info the NISMO R34 Z-Tune is a special version with 500 HP and 1,600 Kgs is much faster than regular R34.

With that sort of body weight, That M5 would definitely have had serious tire wear, so I reckon Tsuchiya had no choice but to go sideways. It's a miracle it kept the top for most of the race anyway. Praise goes to Tsuchiya for that sort of crazy driving.
And as for the GT-R coming out on top at the final corner, I'd say it was plain lucky that he had the all-clear for going flatout there. It was crowded and the other cars probably had nowhere to go (thanks to Tsuchiya's drifting... xD ).

If they really wanted all Japanese cars to win, they would use the Dorikin and Gansan as their racing drivers. Technically you could say the CSL is tuned, considering thats not the 'basic car'.
An actual STOCK race would be a normal M3 vs the GTR.
So essentially, since the GTR is tuned, the M3 can also be considered tuned since it's a CSL, more HP, and stripped out.

It is amazing that the bulky M5 can still keep up on this twisty track. Moreover, AWD and 500BHP doesn't mean that it's the fastest in the world. Japanese cars can be fast, too. The NSX-R did 7:56s on Nordschleife, same as the F360CS which is 100kg lighter and with 165BHP more.

Twisty tracks and roads are BMW playground. They are made with 50:50 weight distribution which makes them very agile in taking corners, slow and fast. BMWs driving dynamics are so advance which makes them the benchmark for any car manufacturer, be it Japanese, German or any other countries. For example, 3 series dynamics is the benchmark in its class, 5 series dynamics is the benchmark in its class, X5 dynamics is the benchmark in its class.
