@purehuman Problem is that due to the USA there were two migratory movements to Mindanao. Once during direct colonial age, once while the neo-imperialistic age was still young. It's a similar tactic by colonial powers to decrease the strength of a people. Most migrants came from Visayas, some from Luzon. The "actual" Mindanaoans have been fighting for their freedom for the last 400 years now. The USA is the country with the largest military expenses. Naturally they have to invest in conflict.

I believe most people already know the involvement of USA via CIA in the Soviet-Afghan war was a different matter all by itselt - although the transition wasn't perfect. But if you accuse USA with their involvment with the Mujahadeen, that's like accusing America for its close ties with Imperial Japan before WWII and in the late 19th century.

If the US Congress dont know that, then what else? If the CIA is not part of the US government agency, then what other else? If these things are true. I just want to chime in here with my own 2 cents. In light of what is happening in Mindanao with the MILF incursions in the Southern Philippines. Also as a former enlisted and veteran of U.S. Army, done two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. I am again saddened and dismayed that the hardcore leftwing agenda has propagated into the minds of some Filipinos.

U.S.forces are doing great jobs to Mindanaoans,as well philippines forces to implement and assist the development projects in Mindanao,many International Government organization are focusing in the development of mindanao like USAAID,JICA,Canada,European aids,NGO'S but it is being hampered because of Abu-sayyaf and MILF terrorist activity,Kidnapping,ambushing,and bombing.

U.S.Forces are not engaged nor involved in fighting in Mindanao,they are their to provide humanitarian projects,roads building,schools,clinics,as well medical missions to mindanaons.We need U.S,forces for their assistance to reinforce our border facilities,to curb the movement of lawless elements and boost our security,economy,trade in southern mindanao.Philippines forces need their military technology,advancement,ships,radar,satellite etc...

No we cant defeat the Japanese. The Russo-Japanese was one of the difficult invasion of Japan. So Japan decided to chooose a weaker countries such as the Philippines. On the other hand, the US cannot enter the war unless it was done through US Constitutional concepts. Japan attacked the Pearl Harbor first, it was planned very well by the US President. So that the entire notion of the war - the Japanese empire was the agressor. It was the day of infamy yes indeed by an elite few dominant people!
