  • This tree is what is known as a Montezuma cypress, a very close relative of the Baldcypress which grows in the southeastern US in low-lying wetlands and rivers and both are also closely related to the Redwoods and Sequoias. They all belong to the family, Cupressaceae, which also includes the Dawn Redwood and Junipers.

  • the largest tree in the world is an aspen grove in utah and as far as this tree goes stanley park in vancouver has a larger one and if you want to go even further the general sherman tree is bigger that this one too. So that being said fuck your tree and your couch :)

  • I've seen photos of this tree and find it intriguing. Seems it's the widest trunk girth, but General Sherman Giant Sequioa is probably the largest single tree known.

    Sequioadendron are on my list for 2009. For MEGATRON size coast redwoods, Google this:

  • This tree is situated in Oaxaca Probince mexico. and just to let you no it is not the largest tree in the world not by a long shot, the giant sequoias in california are the largest trees in the world by volume with the largest being the general sherman situated in the gaint forest of sequoia national park.. X
