The reason I assumed it was B-roll was because it was attached as additional footage on an official Warners VHS tape. And it was identified as such on the tape label.
@toddrundgrenfan This video is not from any tv stations.. this was footage from a friend of Todd's who made this himself for Todd fans, he was there and knows who the people in the video are.. I'm just letting you know to clarify this..
I haven't seen this footage in decades and I shot it!! LOL!!! Think that maybe it is past time I gather up this footage and cut some long form thing together.
@MrTikitube Are you coming to the Todd and Healing concerts in September? I knew I was violating somebodies copyright, but this *was* on a promotional tape. It was a very cool event.
I still have the ad from the back of a SF newspaper for people to come sit in the stands and observe for these sessions...unfortunately I lived in Reno and couldn't make it. I saw this tour in Anaheim and my friend called it Todd and the JV team...lol...great show as always. To paraphrase someone, A Todd tour (or album) is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get...lol...

Fallings out can heal. I was the production manager on the record so I surprised Todd with The UT Boys. I scheduled 2 percussionists on purpose. Prairie Prince was one.Yes, Jim Blinn was/is a good friend who worked for JPL. Recording & Touring the NH record was one of my favorite years. REALLY COOL!
Thanks for the confirmation Michele! BTW, this tape had a little clip of the stunt Todd used to do during "Singring" every night while touring "Ra". Supposedly, no footage existed of the Ra tour, but at least a little bit does.
cool i never knew kas, rodger, and willy played on the album do you what tracks they played on. it looks like they all must of played on the i can't stop running
Is that Willie? I thought Todd and Willie had a huge falling out before this point. I'm not sure who played on what, I just have this video. One interesting person though...the long-haired guy playing trombone is Jim Blinn, one of the most important people in the history of Computer Graphics.
from what i recall, prairie was initially scheduled to play drums for the session (I Can't Stop Running) but as a surprise for Todd, Mary Lou Arnold or Michele Gray scheduled Roger, Kasim and Willie to play the session. sort of a mini reunion of utopia. that's probably why there's so many musicians on this song. Prairie had to step aside and play percussion b/c of Willie. personally i would have rather had Prairie on drums. I love Prairie's playing.

Todd says "Let me just hear Prairie for a second" before the scene with the drummer and Kaz, so I suspect that's Prairie Prince or the Tubes.
