  • very smart taking off the top cymbal felts

  • Thank you. I listen to all the greats, like everyone else. Study their vocabulary to understand their concept, so as to develop your own. Danny Gottlieb has a great new book out that addresses this very topic called the Evolution of Jazz Drumming. Again, thank you for your kind words and for viewing.

  • great drummer, can you tell me how you developing you jazz ideas or wa book is the best for jazz concepts

    thanks

  • Noel, you are amazing. Masterworks is my kit of choice, but you could make 2 rocks and a bottle cap sound incredible. Can you tell us what material, books, other than Stick Control you've studied? I hope to see you perform live soon. Thank you, Sir, for all the work you've done to make your music so pleasing to the ears. Your friend, John

  • Nice snare man, sounds like my Pearl Masters. Sounds alot like it too.

  • Nice playing first of all. Great stick control.

Secondly I am very jealous of your gear. It sounds great. Did I understand correctly that the bass drum is 16"?

  • @gulfwind94 Thank you for the kind compliment. No need to be jealous, it's just a Pearl Masterworks kit, all 6 ply maple shells, that anyone can purchase. Yes, it is a 16 x 13 floor tom with the Pearl BD conversion kit. One thing, Masterworks allows you to custom order the depths of the drums, thus the 16 x 13 tom.

  • how have you tuned your snare here as it sounds just perfect!!!!!??

  • @jamesdancer73 Thank you. The snare is tuned with the bottom head tighter than the top. Overall, it is tuned to a medium tension and pitch. Snare tension knob is pretty much at a medium setting.

  • and how much did u spend on your kit?

  • @unduswaffel Thank you for viewing. The kit is from 2001 and is part of a larger kit ( 4 toms and two bass drums). I am very fortunate to a Pearl artist endorser, so the kit is an endorsement kit.

  • @no1026 that means u must be pretty awesome?!!!!!!

  • That was amazing!!. what type of snare and cymbals are you using?

  • @T1PP3R1 Thank you! The snare is a Craviotto, and the ride on my right is a Spizzichino Tony Williams replica. The ride on left is a Spizzichinno Elvin Jones replica. The Hi-Hats are Zildjian K Constantinople.
