  • This is really sick, I love all the tilt shots, I just went there for a week, Check it out!

  • thomas newman?

  • IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIVEEEEE!

  • beautiful cinematography!

  • Back in 2004 I was in a high speed motorcycle accident. I broke both shoulders and left leg in 4 places. I was just put in a wheel chair and all I could do was pull myself around in it with my right leg....

What you have captured here is the isolation. Friends are friends, but they can't touch you in that chair. It is the most angry feeling in the world.

  • Thanks for the kind comments everyone!

  • wow. the mood and the lighting and the acting and the photography! :D made me shiver, great!! the last shot it So beautiful =) looks like it came straight from a feature film, a real good one :D

  • Damn that's beautiful. I especially like how you used music from a movie that is all about hope.

  • That's a very good beginning!

    My compliments!

    Greetz from Holland.

Take a look at my video for the filmacademy in a'dam. Thank you!

  • watch?v=0jw3xZO_iNk

  • Such great atmosphere, I love it!

  • I think you gave away the ending. Here's a suggestion. Don't show that he's in a wheelchair until the end.

The film is too melodramatic, and it was too easy for him to stand up and walk out of that chair. What did he have to lose? How did he lose his ability to walk? Was he just sitting in the chair and then he decided to get up? LOL

  • very nice work you rock

  • I really like the final scene of him running through the park.

  • God this was incredible man! Great job.

    Peace

    Rob

  • nice, but something is missing!

  • very very nice sir. now thats a low budget short film.

  • Nice beginning!!! im studying soon at NYFA in NEW york. Film making and on the side acting. Any nice memories that you would like to share with me? Would like to know what it is like!!!

  • awesome video iwent to nyfa this summer and it was AMAZIN.

  • This was gorgeous. Moods and grim beauty aside, I got that the lad called it a day on himself. Loved the black and white and the time you took with your subjects. You have great vision. I hope you are still making films. - Max

  • i got this 'ok now am supposed to feel sad' kind of feeln at the strt of the film. i would've liked it better if the guy's gloomy expression alone was shown at the start and then a montage of his earlier memories with his girlfriend inbetween..and in the end u pan down the camera to reveal that he is on a wheelchair. it'l keep the audience guessing, why is thr a montage wit his girl?'break up?''girlfriend dead?' or'somethin wrong?'..then goes like ok fellas the movie is called hope,n reveal.

  • you're good, but too bad alot of ppl used this, plus every one has their own ideas, urs great u should do one < a short film

  • A fine peice of work. Great score as well.

  • I love it its the best one I seen so far

  • I'm gonna be going to the New York Film Academy sometime within the next year, and I love seeing some of the films people have made while at the academy...so thanks for posting!

  • oh! hey. I went to nyfa this summer and was checking out some nyfa films. yours is amazing. it's a really beautiful film! love it. the black and white contrast is perfect and the music is great as well^^ congratulations!!

  • Thank you very much for your kind comment

HermanEverheart. It's always nice to get some feedback.

  • You just made my day. Poignant piece of work. Thank you.

  • Illumination and the filmcraft are cool.

    but I am worthless.

  • Great work and amazing Mise-en- scene. Simple and captivating till the end. I liked the background sounds ( when it fade in and fade out in the same plan, same take sometimes). The black and white creates a beautiful contrast between the present ( dark and traumatic) and the past ( Including Flashback memories), filmed in a clear lighting. Well done!

  • James,

it's nice to see this again.

Film Academy was a great, great experience for me, we should do it again sometime
