they are rock band drums, but GHWT allows you to use Rock band drums by dropping the orange note and replacing it with whatever fits. These are the Rock Band ion drums and they double as real electric drums, but yes, they sound horrible XD

I've watched the video again and you did the activations well. Don't know the problem there, you did a perfect 100% O.o

GHWT lets you activate star power at any time. Whenever you activate you must hit the two cymbals (yellow and blue if playing with the RB kit), and you don't have to play the notes you should play in that moment so as not lose your x4. If in that exact moment there was a red or green note, you wont lose your x4, but you haven't played 100% notes. That's the reason you did't achieve a 100% and maybe the reason why you are not first on leaderboards. ;)

Yea i thought so. I've been having the same problem with my red and blue pads. I just switch the pads around when they stop working or disconnect. But when my drum kit does work, it only lasts for about a month and then i have to find a way to make a work again.
