and you can see the movement when he pulls it. there seems no left-right just pulling it back. which is weird for a shift stick.

well mechanical is whit a cable witch u need to ''pull'' harder to lock up the wheels compared to hydraulic whitch is liquid but dont think they have hydraulic park brakes for stock cars its pretty much in racing i think . not shure if its the kinda of anwser u where hopin for

hydraulic e-brakes work great. installed one on my brother's 240 a couple months ago. they are mainly found on race application vehicles but some people put them on their projects. hydraulic systems allow for a more linear feel as compared to a mechanical one. also you don't have to worry about snapping the cable or it "stretching" on you.

Thats 5k at the dealership labour + parts. the physical parts themselves are Subaru$ > BMW$ .. I am not someone who would be scared to self service a BMW :P I currently own an x5 2004, all services done by myself since 40,000 kM. Now sitting at 165,000 kM, the biggest expense was an Alternator Regulator priced at 70$. My gf owns a 2nd hand impreza, she went to purchase brake pads for it, 240$. BMW x5 pads, 190$. (Front). Regardless, I think the impreza is fun to drive. i prefer non-sti :D
